Reimbursement Donations to Schools

The City offers reimbursements for the cost of a bus trip for an interschool sports day, sand and trees/shrubs (limits apply). For all enquiries, send the invoice and receipt showing that the school has purchased items and is seeking reimbursement.

Community Grants

Assist local community groups and organisations, including school P&Cs to deliver projects or activities that benefit Cockburn residents. Grants are available up to the value of $15,000; however, applications for smaller amounts are encouraged. They open in March and September. Schools require 50% financial or in-kind contribution.

Sponsorship

Sponsorship is available for a specific project or activity. In return, the recipient provides the City with public recognition for its contribution. The maximum sponsorship for groups is $20,000, with applications invited in March and September. Schools require 50% financial or in-kind contribution. The maximum sponsorship for individuals is $1,000 and applications can be submitted year-round but must be received at least two months before the project or event.

Small Event Sponsorship

Small Event Sponsorship is a grant up to $3,000 is available for small-scale neighbourhood events that benefit residents. Events should be organised in consultation with the City's Community Development team. Schools require 50% financial or in-kind contribution. Applications are open all year round.

Fremantle Ports Cockburn Community Projects Fund

This fund supports events, youth and environmental projects. Applications are accepted throughout the year and funds are awarded quarterly. No 50% contribution required.

Cultural Grants

The City funds local arts and cultural activities that recognise the cultural diversity of Cockburn and that promote the expression of cultural identity. Applications up to $5,000, with smaller amounts encouraged, are invited in March and September. Schools require 50% financial or in-kind contribution.

Sustainability Grants

Grants are available for projects designed to safeguard the environment, build strong communities and create 'A Better Tomorrow'. Grants of up to $4,000 are offered annually in March.

Environmental Education Grants

The City assists schools seeking to implement presentations, activities (including incursions and excursions), and workshops facilitated by professional environmental educators. Grants of $1,000 are offered annually in March with no co-contribution necessary.

Youth Art Scholarships

Youth Art Scholarships opens in a new window valued up to $500 are available for Cockburn residents aged 18 and under who are undertaking further study in an art-related area, to assist with the cost of materials or travel costs and fees. Applications are open in March and September.

Youth Academic Assistance

Funding of up to $350 is available for youth (under 21 years) residing in Cockburn to attend academic events. Applications accepted all year round.

Cockburn Youth Fund

Grants up to $400 are available for young people in Cockburn who would like to organise a City project or event that will benefit other young people in the community. Applications are accepted throughout the year but must be received at least six weeks before the project or event.

Junior Sport Travel Assistance

The City supports young, local athletes by providing financial assistance for travel to state or national competitions. Applications are accepted all year round and awarded quarterly.
