Development Contributions

About development contribution

Development contributions are payments or works-in-kind towards the delivery of infrastructure needs generated by new developments and subdivisions. They are used to fund community infrastructure such as roads, drainage, community and recreation centres, sporting facilities, libraries, and other facilities.

Development contribution suburbs and rates

The City has created a Development Contribution Plan for community infrastructure in Cockburn, known as Development Contribution Plan 13. This applies to all land within the City which is to be subdivided and/or developed for residential, rural residential or resource zone purposes and is in addition to any other Developer Contribution Plan requirements applying to an area.

It does not apply to lots that have no subdivision or development potential. Different suburbs have different rates. Please view the table below for a list of suburbs and current rates for Development Contribution Plan 13.
