Special Council Meeting - Thursday 24 June 2021

The City of Cockburn will be convening a Special Meeting of Council on Thursday, 24 June 2021, commencing at 7pm. In order to manage COVID-19 regulations, please register your attendance on 08 9411 3444 or email customer@cockburn.wa.gov.au opens in a new window.

The purpose of the meeting is to adopt the following:
  • Strategic Community Plan
  • Corporate Business Plan
  • 2021/22 Municipal Budget
The meeting will be held in the Council Chambers located at 9 Coleville Crescent, Spearwood and is open to the public.

The meeting Agenda will be available for viewing at the City's Customer Service Counter in the Administration Building and on the City of Cockburn website prior to the meeting.

Special Electors’ Meeting - Tuesday 29 June 2021

Notice is hereby given that a Special Electors’ Meeting of the City of Cockburn will be held in the Cockburn Council Chambers on Tuesday, 29 June 2021, commencing at 7pm. 

In order to manage COVID-19 regulations, please register your attendance on 08 9411 3444 or email customer@cockburn.wa.gov.au opens in a new window. Formal registration at the Meeting will be required on the night. Please bring suitable identification to confirm whether you are an elector or ratepayer.

The Meeting is open for electors and ratepayers of the City of Cockburn to attend and participate in proceedings.

Non electors (people who do not reside or own properties in Cockburn) may attend as observers only. Only confirmed electors/ratepayers will have the right to speak and/or vote at the meeting.

Note: A voting card will be provided to electors/ratepayers whose eligibiity has been confirmed to identify their right to speak and vote at the Meeting.

Details of the matters to be discussed at the meeting include a range of Motions, which will be raised, debated and voted on by the Electors. These include, but are not limited to:

  1. Broadcasting and recording of the AGM of Electors and any Special Meeting of Electors to bring them in line with Ordinary Council Meeting practice
  2. Public Question Time Reforms
  3. Report of the Inquiry into the City of Cockburn
  4. Performance of the City administration in general and particularly regarding the following community issues:
    • Suitable on-leash dog beach
    • Glen Iris Golf Course Estate Residents and Community Asset/Open Space
    • Manning Park proposed development.

The meeting will be held in the Council Chambers located at 9 Coleville Crescent, Spearwood and is open to the electors/ratepayers of the District.
 
The meeting Agenda will be available for viewing on the City of Cockburn website prior to the meeting.
