An active, social, informed and inclusive seniors community.

If you're 50 and over, you'd love what's on offer at the Cockburn Seniors Centre. Take a look, we think you'll be pleasantly suprised.

Cockburn Seniors Centre hosts a range of recreational, educational, health and social activities, classes, events, meals, outings and courses. Please see our current timetable (ongoing regular classes and activities) and activities guide (short courses, events and outings).

About the Cockburn Seniors Centre

The Cockburn Seniors Centre is a membership based centre for people aged 50 and over who live within the City of Cockburn.
It provides a range of recreational, educational, health and social activities, classes, events, meals, outings and courses . These include:

  • Meals - Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at midday (pre-order before 10am)

  • Café - Tuesday and Thursday 9am –1pm. (Orders from 8.30am until 12.45pm)

  • Services - a centre-based hairdresser and naturopath (available by appointment)

  • Transport - a van shuttle service is available for members who are transport disadvantaged - bookings required (assessed service)

  • Computer Room - computers/iPads and free WiFi available for members to use.

 The Seniors Centre offers scrumptious meals to members and non-members (see below for non-members definitions). Find out what's on offer by visiting the menu page.

Non-members Definitions:
Casual Visitor - Person who lives within the City of Cockburn boundaries or a regular casual from an other suburb who attends classes and is over the age of 50 who pays a casual visit fee.
Member Guest - Person who lives outside the City of Cockburn boundaries, is over the age of 50 and attends the Centre with a current member who pays a casual visit fee
House Guest - Person who does not reside within the City of Cockburn boundaries and is staying with a current member who pays a casual visit fee.


Become a member 

Memberships will re-open to Cockburn Seniors on 17 August 2026 at a fee of $100.

The Centre will have limited availablity.

To be a member you must

  • Live within the City of Cockburn boundaries with proof of residency. 
  • Be over 50 years of age. 

Memberships run from 6 July 26 to 14 August 2027.

Outings Booking Conditions

  • Outings are available for members only

  • Payment must be made at time of booking for all outings

  • Bookings can be made for a maximum of two people (yourself and one other member) (full name is required of the member you are booking on behalf of)

  • Apologies, but cancellations cannot be refunded.

Old Courthouse Fremantle – Fremantle Markets

Friday 17 July

9.30am – 2.30pm

Arriving in iconic Fremantle, take a stroll through the Fremantle markets and choose from a selection of food outlets for your morning tea. Then we’ll meet at the 122-year-old courthouse in Fremantle which has been fully redeveloped into a restaurant with a beautiful modern pavilion and garden space area. Which is called ‘Old Courthouse Fremantle’. The restaurant owners focus on sourcing local produce wherever possible. Enjoy a set menu on the day..

Palm Beach Café – Rockingham Museum

Tuesday 4th August

10.45am – 2.30pm


Enjoy a delicious meal at The Palm Beach café, a fabulous place to dine on the foreshore at Rockingham. One complimentary soft drink/beer stubby/glass of house wine (SB, SSB, Shiraz, Cab Merlot, Cab Sav or house bubbles) with the purchase of any main meal.
Next stop is The Rockingham Museum where there are numerous displays that educate and inform people about a variety of aspects of Rockingham’s history and surrounding areas.The Museum is housed in an art deco building which was formerly the Rockingham Road Board building built in 1946/47, which is interesting in itself.

Perth Mint – Grosvenor Hotel Perth

 Thursday 6th August

  9.15am – 3.30pm


Experience The Perth Mint, an iconic site in the heart of Perth which is more than a premier tourist attraction. On the tour, discover a stunning selection of jewellery, attractions and shopping. You can even sell your gold jewellery or trade precious metals.
Enjoy a delicious meal at the Grosvenor Hotel for lunch after the tour.

 Let’s go on an Op shop mystery tour! Shop till you drop with a variety of Op shops to visit. Grab some bargains along the way.
Then enjoy a delicious lunch at the The Last Local Restaurant.

Mundaring Artisan Bakery Café - Mundaring Arts Centre - Mundaring Weir Hotel
 
 Monday 17  August

9.00am – 3.30pm

 
Start the day with freshly brewed coffee and a lovely morning tea at the much-loved Mundaring Artisan Bakery Café. After the relaxed morning tea, take a short stroll to the Mundaring Arts Centre, a hub of local creativity and culture. Our final stop is a delicious meal at the Mundaring Weir Hotel.

Option 1.
BLT Burger – Crispy bacon, lettuce, tomato and garlic mayo.
Option 2. Creamy garlic parmesan pasta with spinach, mushrooms and sundried tomatoes.
Option 3. Super Salad - Pumpkin, fetta, pickled beetroot, quinoa chopped salad with mixed nuts and balsamic dressing. (GF, V, contains nuts)
Option 4. Garlic prawns in a cream and white wine sauce with balsamic rice and salad. (GF)

Wheelchairs for Kids -The Woodvale Tavern

Established in 1998 by Scarborough Rotary Club, Wheelchairs for Kids Australia (WFKA) has grown from a humble volunteer-driven project into a charity with global impact. Their dedicated volunteers have made and gifted over 65,000 wheelchairs to children with disabilities in more than 80 countries, all free of charge.
Morning tea supplied – GOLD COIN DONATION

Whiteman Park

Enjoy a wander around Whiteman Park, a unique recreation and conservation reserve and a major tourist destination located 28km from the Perth CBD. It’s a location of a variety of many of the flora and fauna WA has to offer with plenty of activities to explore including museums and a selection of places to dine.

Mandurah River Cruise - Includes lunch

Wednesday 26 August

9.30am – 4.30pm


Step back in time and explore Mandurah’s winding waterways and the serene Murray River on board the relaxing, 4.5-hour Murray River Lunch Cruise. The majestic Murray is WA’s most history-rich river. It is the longest permanent river in the Jarrah Forest and one of the few major rivers in Australia that remains. Dine on a delicious buffet lunch and dessert, served while cruising the Murray River.

Pinnacles- Endeavour Tavern Lancelin

Thursday 27 August

6.30am – 6.00pm

*Must be able to navigate uneven surfaces. No access for walkers or walking sticks

Arriving at Verge 301 Café for morning tea where you can purchase and enjoy a cuppa and a snack, we then travel to the Pinnacles. Located at the southern gateway to Australia's Coral Coast along the Indian Ocean Drive, the Pinnacles Desert of Nambung National Park is one of the major natural attractions in the region, covering an area of 17,487 hectares providing natural habitat for an extensive array of native animals and bird life. The Pinnacles are amazing natural limestone structures, formed approximately 25,000 to 30,000 years ago after the sea receded and left deposits of seashells. Over time, coastal winds removed the surrounding sand, leaving the pillars exposed to the elements. The Pinnacles range in height and dimension - some stand as high as 3.5 metres tall! Lunch will be at the Endeavour Tavern Lancelin from their delicious menu.

The Berrigan Tavern - Azelia Ley Museum

Monday 31st August

11.30am – 3.00pm


First, we experience a delicious 3-course meal at the Berrigan Hotel. Then we venture out to Manning Park to visit Azelia Ley Museum to explore Cockburn’s rich history. This heritage listed residence was built in 1923 for a member of the Manning family and offers a glimpse into the life of a prosperous settler family living in the Cockburn district.

3 Course meal - Includes garlic bread, roast of the day with vegetables and gravy, and dessert of the day. - Set menu
