If you're 50 and over, you'd love what's on offer at the Cockburn Seniors Centre. Take a look, we think you'll be pleasantly suprised.

Cockburn Seniors Centre hosts a range of recreational, educational, health and social activities, classes, events, meals, outings and courses. Please see our current timetable (ongoing regular classes and activities) and activities guide (short courses, events and outings).

About the Cockburn Seniors Centre

The Cockburn Seniors Centre is a membership based centre for people aged 50 and over who live within the City of Cockburn.
It provides a range of recreational, educational, health and social activities, classes, events, meals, outings and courses . These include:

  • Meals - Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at midday (pre-order before 10am)

  • Café - Tuesday and Thursday 9am –1pm. (Orders from 8.30am until 12.45pm)

  • Services - a centre-based hairdresser and naturopath (available by appointment)

  • Transport - a van shuttle service is available for members who are transport disadvantaged - bookings required (assessed service)

  • Computer Room - computers/iPads and free WiFi available for members to use.

Menu

 The Seniors Centre offers scrumptious meals to members and non-members (see below for non-members definitions). Find out what's on offer by visiting the menu page.

Non-members Definitions:
Casual Visitor - Person who lives within the City of Cockburn boundaries and is over the age of 50 who pays a casual visit fee.
Member Guest - Person who lives outside the City of Cockburn boundaries, is over the age of 50 and attends the Centre with a current member who pays a casual visit fee
House Guest - Person who does not reside within the City of Cockburn boundaries and is staying with a current member who pays a casual visit fee.


Become a member 

Memberships have now reached capacity for 2025/2026.

Memberships will re-open to Cockburn Seniors Centre on 1 July 2026 at a fee to be advised.
Memberships run from 1 July to 30 June.

Members enjoy access to:

  • Centre activities that range from free to up to a maximum of $14 per class

  • Outings (prices vary)

  • Meals $14 for two courses, plus tea/coffee and/or main course only $11.

Outings Booking Conditions

  • Outings are available for members only

  • Payment must be made at time of booking for all outings

  • Bookings can be made for a maximum of two people (yourself and one other member) (full name is required of the member you are booking on behalf of)

  • Apologies, but cancellations cannot be refunded.

Swan Valley Adventure

  • Wednesday 3 September

  • 8.30am - 3.30pm

  • Outing cost - $24.50

  • Moderate to high walking involved.

Come along and enjoy a day out in the beautiful Swan Valley. You will have multiple stops to be able to get out and shop till you drop or just enjoy the beautiful scenery with lunch being at the lovely Bailey Brewing Co and then a visit to Olive Farm Winery for taste testing of some of their wines.

Round House Fremantle / Lunch

  • Tuesday 9 September

  • 9.45am - 3.15am

  • Outing cost - $40

  • Moderate to high walking involved.

A tour of the historical Roundhouse. It is the oldest public building in the State of Western Australia. Opened in January 1831, just 18 months after settlement, it was built to hold any person convicted of a crime in the settlement and was used until 1886. Delicious lunch is at the Carrington Bistro.

Kalamunda Musical & Lunch

  • Low to moderate walking involved.

Morning tea on arrival. Country Classic’s, toe-tap your way through classic country songs by favourites including Dolly Parton, Lorretta Lyn, Patsy Cline and more! Lunch at the Kalamunda Hotel.

Mandurah Lunch River Cruise     

  • Thursday 11 September

Step back in time and explore Mandurah’s winding waterways and the serene Murray River on board the relaxing, 4.5-hour Murray River Lunch Cruise. The majestic Murray is WA’s most history-rich river. It is the longest permanent river in the Jarrah Forest and one of the few major rivers in Australia that remains. Dine on a delicious buffet lunch and dessert, served while cruising the Murray River.

Araluen Tulips / Elizabethen Tavern

Nestled deep within a valley in the Perth Hills, Araluen Botanic Park is an extraordinary garden with a breathtaking kaleidoscope of colour brought to you by 150,000 tulips and a variety of spring blooms. Purchase morning tea from the café or bring your own. Lunch will be at the Last Drop Elizabethan which is a beautiful old English pub located in Perth’s hills and has been a part of the Bedfordale community for 25 years.

Beauty & The Beast Musical - Crown

Kaarakin Black Cockatoo Reserve / Avocados Bar and Cafe

  • Tuesday 7 October

  • 9.30am - 3pm

  • Outing cost - $63.50

  • High walking involved.

Enjoy a tour of the Kaarakin Reserve, where they help rescue wild black cockatoos and other native birds that are in distress and hurt.
Please wear long sleeved shirts, long pants and enclosed shoes and a jumper. Wearing jewellery is not recommended as the birds are attracted to sparkly items. Lunch will be at Avocados Bar and Cafe where you will enjoy a selection of delicious food, while sitting back and enjoying the beautiful surroundings.

Enjoy a leisurely day out driving through the beautiful countryside and morning tea at Pinjarra Bakery which offers a delicious assortment of cakes and pies with great coffee. Then stopping at Vergone’s Fruit stall to purchase some fresh fruit and vegetables. Lunch at the Dwellingup Hotel offering a great menu with a selection of delicious food.

Rockingham Seniors  & Carers Expo

Visit the City of Rockingham Seniors and Carers Expo, which has a variety of information stalls and services available to the community. The event is a key opportunity to connect with older people and carers in a direct and meaningful way. Food and drink available to purchase on the day.

Mystery Op Shopping / Carrington Bar & Grill

  • 9.30am - 2.30pm

Lets go on an Op shop mystery tour! Shop till you drop with a variety of Op shops to visit. Grab some bargains along the way.
Then enjoy a delicious lunch at the Carrington Bar and Grill.

Roam Distillery & lunch

Arriving at the Midland Dome Café for a delicious morning tea. Scenic drive, then arriving at the organic gin distillery where you can experience the beauty of lush landscapes and gain insight into their eco-friendly farming practices. Their dedication to quality and sustainability makes their farm a unique destination for those passionate about organic, biodynamic produce and the timeless tradition of family-run agriculture. In addition to their vineyard, the farm boasts over 200 olive trees, 5 acres of seasonal vegetables and over 50 variety of fruit trees a distillery making organic gin. Sit down tour at the distillery and the enjoy a delicious Roast of the day.
