Cockburn Libraries offer vibrant, inclusive spaces where young people can connect, create, and discover a love of lifelong learning. 

Pre-School Activities

Talk, Sing, Read, Write and Play every day! Join our fun, free early literacy sessions: 

  • Pram Jams – songs and rhymes for ages 0-2 years 
  • Toddler Tales – stories, rhymes and play for ages 1.5-2.5 years 
  • Toddlers Sing and Play – songs, dancing and music for ages 1.5-3 years 
  • Storytime – stories, rhymes and craft for ages 2-5 years 
  • Rhymes in Chinese – for all ages 
  • Learning English Through Storytime – for children aged 3-4 years who are Learning English as an additional language. 

After School Activities

Come along to one of our free clubs for school-aged children: 

  • Creative Kids – board games, crafts, and creativity 
  • LEGO® Club – for ages 5+ 
  • Stories in Portuguese – for ages 2+ 
  • Cooby Gamer Club - for ages 8+
  • STEAM Clubs - for ages 8+
    • Weekly at Spearwood
    • Monthly at Coolbellup and Success
  • Anime x Club - for ages 13+
  • Young Writers' Club - for ages 13-17 years.

Special Events

We host events, workshops, and competitions for children and teens throughout the year - plus school holiday programs, cultural celebrations, gamer clubs, anime afternoons, and more!

Celebrate the best of Australian children’s literature with special events, author visits, and creative activities.
