The City’s Youth Services provide a range of individual and group programs and activities, learning opportunities and safe places for young people to spend their time.
Cockburn Youth Centre (CYC) is a safe and welcoming environment for all young people aged 10-24 years. Our drop in space offers a pool table, table tennis, foosball, gaming consoles, indoor and outdoor basketball, computers, free WiFi and more.
CYC also offers social, recreational and educational programs for young people aged 10-17 years. The team at CYC release four term programs and eight school holiday programs each year, which are made up of free activities for young people.
A social support group for LGBTQIA+ young people runs every Thursday at the CYC during school
term. Membership is free and enrolment can be completed on the website by parents or guardians.
CYC also offers room hire including a large hall and stage space, multiple community meeting rooms, music/jam room, and recording studio.

Youth Outreach is a free support service for young people aged 10-18 years who live, work, or study in the Cockburn or Fremantle area.
The goal is to reduce risks for young people, help improve family relationships and connect them to support services they may need.
Referrals can be made using the online form on the City of Cockburn website.
Youth Justice Mentoring is a program funded by the State Government to provide personalised and one-on-one support to young people aged 10-17 years who have become involved with the justice system and living in the south-west metropolitan corridor.
All program participants have been referred by the Department of Youth Justice to improve an individual’s life and development through a
mentoring framework. Mentors focus on supporting young people with life skills, health and wellbeing, and personal development.

- Engagement with schools and community organisations.
Employ Me is a free service that offers young people one-on-one support from one of our youth officers for all things career and work-related.
This includes help with writing resumés and cover letters, applying for jobs, building interview skills and general career advice.
Residents aged 14-24 are eligible. Each session is 60 minutes and can be in person at the CYC, over the phone, or online.
