The City’s Rangers manage numerous duties, encompassing animal-related issues such as dog attacks, stray dogs, livestock control, cat
management, addressing excessive barking, and ensuring adherence to animal registration as well as ensuring compliance in designated on-lead and dog exercise areas. Their responsibilities also extend to addressing littering, illegal dumping, unauthorised signage, and untidiness of properties.

Additionally, the Ranger team conducts daily patrols in reserves and beaches, focusing on educating the community about responsible dog ownership and enforcing compliance as required. Rangers conduct daily school parking patrols to ensure the safety of children around our schools.
