Cockburn Libraries are dedicated to promoting universal literacy through our collections and programs in the library and the broader community.

Pre-School Activities

Help your child's development with:  

  • ​Pram Jams - rhymes and songs, suitable ages 0-2 years
  • Storytime - help prepare your child for school or join our monthly father-figure Blokes do Storytime sessions on Saturday, suitable ages 2-5
  • Learning English Through Storytime (LETS) - for children who don't speak English as a primary language, LETS improves their skills through reading, rhyming and craft. Bookings essential, suitable for ages 3-4.

After School Activities

Keep the kids entertained with free, fun after school clubs

  • Ages 5+ - Bookstars Reading Club
  • Creative Kids
  • LEGO
  • Ages 2-10 Stories in Chinese
  • Ages 8+ STEAM Club at Coolbellup
  • Ages 10+ STEAM Club at Success.

Special Events

Events, workshops and competitions are held for children and teens throughout the year. These include fun school holiday programs, Halloween activities, Harry Potter celebrations and ukulele for teens.

Multi-sensory Storytime - Ages 2+ (Success Library).

For children on the autism spectrum or who have additional sensory needs. Held monthly, bookings essential.
