Community Development and Engagement

The Community Development team works with community members, volunteers and not-for-profit organisations to support communities where people can feel a sense of belonging and connection. The team offers free training covering a variety of topics and provides a range of free resources, funding opportunities and assistance for P&Cs.
 
These include:

  • Community Project Support Program – need some help or want to develop a project? Support is available for up to six months
  • Community Signs – book any of the 20 banner spaces located around Cockburn for free to promote your events
  • Facebook – contact the team to promote your news, events, meetings and projects, facebook.com/cockburncommunity
  • Cockburn Community Trailer – book the free trailer and available equipment (such as eskies, BBQ, marquee, witches hats and tables) for your event
  • Training and Networking – a variety of training workshops and networking events are offered throughout the year. Sign up to our eNewsletter at cockburn.wa.gov.au/newsletters

Community Engagement – Comment on Cockburn

Community Engagement increases active community participation in City consultations and planning processes. Be informed and involved in consultation and actively participate in making decisions.
