Healthy Cockburn

The City's Health Promotion team works closely with Cockburn Integrated Health, based at the Cockburn Health and Community facility in Success. Together they offer a range of healthy lifestyle programs for families and individuals as part of the Cockburn Healthy Lifestyle program.
Services offered include

  • Free health assessments for adults and kids at major City events

  • Healthy Eating Active Lifestyle (HEALTM) program

  • Links to low-cost nutrition programs

  • Help with health and lifestyle goals

  • Weight loss and management

  • Healthy lifestyle changes

  • Ongoing monitoring and support.

Optimum Weight for Life (OWL) program

The City supports OWL, a program that assists children and families to become fitter, healthier and happier through a free and fun program focusing on healthy eating, positive behaviour, games and activities.

Staying Active

The Health Promotion team has developed and published a Guide to Walks in the City of Cockburn to encourage parents and children to be more physically active. There are over 10 Heart Foundation walking groups on different days/times in the Cockburn area.


We continue to offer a range of healthy eating workshops delivered by health professionals. Learn how to nourish your family on a tight budget with Foodbank's Food Sensations program or learn how to plan meals and pack healthy children's lunch boxes with help from a dietician.

Man v Fat

Man v Fat is a soccer program for overweight and obese men where the players score points for kicking goals and losing weight. It’s on Tuesday evenings in Yangebup.
