Community Events

Cockburn provides free community events suitable for all ages. The events are varied and cater to a broad audience, ensuring there is something for everyone.

Events take place between October and April each year and include:

  • Fur Run (event for dogs and dog-lovers)
  • Side Splitter Comedy Festival (paid ticketed event)
  • Teddy Bears Picnic
  • Cockburn Rotary Spring Fair
  • Christmas on the Green
  • Australia Day Coogee Beach Festival
  • Cockburn's Got Talent
  • Community Concert
  • Show Off Art Exhibition
  • Coogee Live
  • Cultural Fair.

Cockburn’s Got Talent

Cockburn's Got Talent opens in a new window is the City's popular talent quest where people of all ages compete by demonstrating their talents live on stage. Registrations open in November each year and close mid-January. We encourage everyone to come along to this free event to cheer on our local talent.
Categories include 5-10, 11-17 and 18+ years. Heats take place at the Cockburn Youth Centre, 25 Wentworth Parade, Success.
• Heat Saturday 19 March 2022 1-5pm

The grand final happens at the Cockburn Cultural Fair opens in a new window, Saturday, 9 April 2022, 3-7pm Harmony Oval, Harmony Ave, Atwell.
