School Update 2024

Hello to all Cockburn schools

This is our twelfth annual School Update informing the 30 primary and nine secondary schools of ways the City of Cockburn can support your school. Our 30th school, Jilbup Primary, opens this year in Hammond Park.

Many of our services are free and aimed at supporting families in Cockburn. We hope you make this booklet well-known to your staff, including Kindy and pre-primary teachers, AIEOs, chaplains, counsellors/ psychologists/school nurses, and P&Cs and P&Fs. It will be on the City's website, and we will email your school a copy.

We are always keen to know how we can assist schools and work together, stay in contact, and best meet your needs. We welcome your feedback and input. Two-way communication and a partnership model will lead to the most effective outcomes.

All grant information can now be found on pages eight and nine.

Please do not hesitate to contact the Children's Development Officer on 08 9411 3444, the Youth Development Officer on 08 9411 3882, or the relevant departments if you require information on any of our services or to share ideas and comments.  Our website is also a good starting point for discovering what is happening in the City. Visit the Families and Children's ServicesYouth and Young Adults or the City's Events and Workshop webpages.
