You will need to lodge an application for planning approval prior to undertaking development or use of land within the City unless the type of development or use is exempt from requiring planning approval. A list of exemptions can be obtained at the Town Planning Scheme web page. If you’re unsure as to whether your proposal requires planning approval, please contact the City’s Statutory Planning Service.
