Manning Park History and Heritage Session

The City is holding a pop-up history and heritage sharing session from 2-4pm on 18 May at Manning Park (on the grass to the south of the main playground).

We want to hear stories from local residents to help develop our understanding of the park’s historical significance.

The session will be conducted by Archae-aus and serves as part of a broader heritage study.

While key stakeholders – such as historical societies, residents’ groups and First Nation’s peoples – have been consulted as part of this study, this session is meant to provide an opportunity for the broader community to provide their perspectives.

Please note, this session is focussed specifically on history and heritage. The City is consulting experts about the Park’s environmental value in a separate projects.
