The primary purpose of the Asbestos Register and Asbestos Management Plan is to ensure the safe and effective management of asbestos-containing material within buildings and assets managed by the City.
Our ultimate goal is to make certain that all buildings, either occupied or controlled by government agencies, are completely free of asbestos-containing material (ACM).
These documents have been developed to align with Occupational Safety and Health legislation and relevant codes of practice, including the Code of Practice for the Management and Control of Asbestos in Workplaces [NOHSC: 2018 (2005)].
