Information on increased number of potholes

The City knows there is an increased number of potholes on our roads currently, largely due to recent wet weather conditions. Repair crews are working as quickly as possible to address each reported pothole.

Potholes commonly form when water seeps into cracks in the asphalt. As vehicles drive over the surface, the pressure pushes water further in, gradually widening weak points until the surface breaks down.

Residents can assist by reporting potholes to the City via phone on 9411 3444 or through our website page. Providing accurate location details helps us respond more efficiently.

The City encourages all road users to remain alert and drive with care, as potholes may pose a safety risk.
