Pay Your Rates in Full or by Instalments

You can pay your rates in one payment or spread them over four instalments.

Whatever option you choose, you will not be charged interest or penalties if payments are made on time.

Pay in full

Pay the total amount in one payment by the annual due date shown on your Rate Notice.

Due date: 29 August 2025

Pay in four instalments

You can spread your rates over four smaller payments.
  • First instalment due: 29 August 2025
  • Second instalment due: 31 October 2025
  • Third instalment due: 9 January 2026
  • Fourth instalment due: 13 March 2026

Important reminders

  • You must make payments by the due dates shown.
  • No interest or penalties will apply if you keep to the payment schedule.
  • If you miss an instalment and have not set up another approved arrangement, late payment fees may apply.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to apply to pay by instalments?
When you receive your notice, pay the first instalment amount shown on your notice by the due date. You will be automatically placed on the instalment option.
What if I cannot pay an instalment on time?
Contact the City as soon as possible. We may be able to set up a flexible payment arrangement, such as SmartRates, to help you manage your payments.
