New Local Laws

On 25 August 2026, the following new local laws were gazetted. They came into effect on 8 September 2026:
  • City of Cockburn Health and Nuisances Local Law 2026
  • City of Cockburn Fencing Local Law 2026
  • City of Cockburn Parking Local Law 2026
  • City of Cockburn Waste Amendment Local Law 2026
  • City of Cockburn Keeping of Animals Local Law 2026
These local laws amend the City of Cockburn Waste Local Law 2020, City of Cockburn (Local Government Act) Local Laws 2000 and the City of Cockburn Health Local Laws 2000. A 'consolidated' version of these local laws, as amended, is uploaded below.

Local Laws

The City of Cockburn has a number of Local Laws that help protect and enhance the safety, amenity and wellbeing of the community.

Made under the Local Government Act 1995 and other legislation, these Local Laws address matters specific to the City and complement State and Commonwealth legislation.
