Disability Access and Inclusion Officer

The City employs a full-time Disability Access and Inclusion Officer who works closely with all departments to ensure the events, services, information and facilities provided by the City are as accessible and inclusive as possible, and is available to answer any disability-related queries or concerns.

The Disability Access and Inclusion Officer also facilitates the Disability Reference Group, a group that meets regularly to keep up to date with City projects and exchange information on access and inclusion issues.

Disability support for Cockburn residents

Cockburn Care

Cockburn Care provides direct disability support to seniors and people with disability living in Cockburn. These services may be funded for eligible people by WA NDIS, Home and Community Care or Home Care Packages, or they can be self-funded.

Cockburn Support Service

Cockburn Support Service provides support in a confidential and caring environment to Cockburn residents. The Support Service staff can assist with short term counselling, information and referrals, advocacy as well as providing group activities and workshops to support the Cockburn community.
