Thursday 4 September:
The next phase of the Cockburn ARC Evolution is complete, providing significantly enhanced assets for the whole community.

The ARC Evolution, announced 18 months ago in a partnership between the City of Cockburn and Fremantle Football Club, has delivered improvements to both the ARC Health Club and Fremantle Dockers facilities.

Cockburn’s annual Fur Run will celebrate its 10th year on 21 September with a range of tail-wagging activities and opportunities on offer between 10am-1pm at picturesque MacFaull Park in Spearwoof.


A Cockburn woman has recalled the moment she heard her neighbour scream as her house went up in flames. “I ran around the corner, and she was screaming and there was fire,” the neighbour, who asked to stay anonymous, said.

A significant milestone in Australia’s continuous naval shipbuilding program has been reached with the laying of the keel for NUSHIP Carpentaria, the sixth Arafura Class offshore patrol vessel at Civmec’s Henderson naval shipyard.
