It has been an honour to serve as your Deputy Mayor and Local Councillor. My wife & I proudly bought our first home in South Lake 10 years ago before recently moving to Beeliar with our 2 young children.

As an Environmental Scientist and Board Director, I bring strong experience in local government policy, leadership, governance, and financial management.

I'm standing for re-election because our growing community needs a strong focus on sustainable development and infrastructure planning, where traffic management, parks and recreation facilities, family values and community safety, are our highest priorities.

If re-elected I will ensure continued strong support for community and sporting groups, retain verge collections, retain discounted Rates for pensioners, improve CoSafe & CCTV, deliver road projects to improve safety and congestion, and deliver low council rates in the face of our cost-of-living crisis.

It has been an immense honour to represent our community as your Deputy Mayor, and local Councillor since I was first elected in 2019.

I hold a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Coastal Zone Management, and have since worked in consulting, industry, and government roles, and I’m also a director of Perth NRM, Perth’s leading not for profit environmental association. I have dedicated my professional career to delivering positive environmental outcomes whilst fostering economic growth. I firmly believe we can protect and enhance our environment whilst delivering quality new homes, industry, and development.

During my time on Council, I have driven the Crime Prevention Plan 2022-2027 to keep our community safe, driven the District Traffic Study to bust congestion, and fought hard to keep rates low in the face of the cost-of-living crisis. I have initiated planning investigations for a multi storey carpark in Cockburn Central, driven a reinvigoration of our community events, and am proud to be part of a Council that continues to invest in sustainable initiatives.

I believe that meaningful change begins with conversations, from doorknocking and chatting to people across our community. I’ve heard clearly that you want our Council to continue to deliver great community facilities & services, deliver more diverse playgrounds and recreation opportunities, deliver strategic road infrastructure projects to deal with congestion, as well as improve community safety.

I am proud to call Cockburn home, having been a resident of Bibra Lake for ten years.

It is my firm belief that council can best serve the residents and businesses in the area when it is has members who are committed to being actively engaged in the community. As a member of the Bibra Lake Residents Association for a number of years, including holding the roles of vice president, secretary and currently serving as president, I have seen the positive outcomes that can be achieved with fierce advocates. If elected I am committed to being this advocate for everyone in central ward and committed to remaining engaged in our communities to understand the needs and issues that matter most.

If elected I will conduct myself with integrity, transparency and work hard for all members of the ward, understanding that it is the ratepayers and residents who I serve and am accountable to.

I have lived in the City of Cockburn for the last 17 years. My firm belief in fostering a safe, connected community with a strong environmental focus has motivated me to contribute to our community. I am enthusiastic, caring, compassionate and hard-working, and I would value the opportunity to be a Cockburn Councillor. I have consistently worked towards creating positive change. I am the current President for Yangebup Progress Assoc and volunteer for Yangebup Community Eats, Foodbank, Yangebup Family Centre and former Cooby Cares, I also read and work in the canteen at my grandchildren's school. My volunteering contributions have been recognized and honoured by the City of Cockburn, with my most recent award being Citizen of the Year 2022. I am committed to supporting the Council's investment policies and plans and prioritizing the needs of our community. I would be a devoted and attentive voice, advocating for the well-being and prosperity of all residents.

As a dedicated volunteer, I work inclusively with the local community groups protecting women and children with domestic violence circumstance.

With a PhD in Biosecurity with public and private sector work experience in research, policy, management, training in governance and resources; passionately protecting our natural environment.

A realistic planning, policy making, and sustainable development is the key where I will continue my contribution as your local voice.

It has been an honour to serve as your west ward representative for the past four years. If re-elected I promise to continue working for our natural environment, preserving and restoring canopy and biodiversity, creating more green/cycle paths, respecting culture and heritage, and looking after your interests by listening, improving sustainability, safety, services and facilities while keeping rates low.

A proud husband and father with a young family attending a local school and sports, I have been a devoted resident of Lake Coogee (formerly Munster) for the past 11 years. Continually, I find myself impressed by the energy, foresight, value, and commitment demonstrated by the City of Cockburn towards its residents. My two-decade experience in managing venues, overseeing large teams, and catering to high foot traffic areas has refined my leadership and decision-making skills. Those acquainted with me know I'm always up for a hearty chat, revealing my open and approachable nature. Beyond management, I hold a BS in Information Systems from Murdoch University and I'm an award-winning filmmaker, taking pride in my most recent project being filmed largely in our beloved City.
