Coogee Live returns this weekend, bringing a reimagined two-day celebration of arts, music, food and family fun to the coast on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 March.

With new spaces, immersive experiences and a relaxed beachside vibe, the free festival blends world-class performers, DJs, artisans and activities for all ages.

A 30-year masterplan for the Henderson Waste Recovery Park, where the City's public waste drop off service is located, will be voted on at the City of Cockburn's March Ordinary Council Meeting.

The City is seeking community feedback on a trial program designed to help protect the historic Omeo Shipwreck.

From 1 December 2025 to 20 April 2026, trained volunteers at Coogee Beach will use megaphones to encourage responsible snorkelling.

The trend is reflected in Cockburn, with units in Cockburn Central among the fastest selling in the Perth-metro region and houses in Lake Coogee changing hands in just five days.

Australia’s newest patrol boat has been delivered at the Henderson shipyard, marking the completion of a major naval construction program.
The vessel, built by Austal at Henderson, is the 10th and final Evolved Cape Class patrol boat for the Royal Australian Navy.

All regular beach carparks that surround the Coogee Beach Reserve will be closed from 5pm, Wednesday 4 March to 9am, Tuesday 10 March for the Coogee Live festival.

Parking around Coogee Beach and North Coogee is free but limited, so planning ahead is recommended.
