Christmas on the Coast is a FREE festive night of family fun this summer, as a part of the Cockburn LIVE event series.
On Sunday 17 December 2023, Coogee Beach Reserve will come alive with joyful performances and activities.
Families can celebrate the festive season with a seaside flavour as an interactive Christmas trail weaves along Coogee Beach Reserve and the stunning shoreline.
Kicking off from 5pm, the interactive action-packed trail will include inflatable Christmas characters, carol singers, light displays, a Christmas-themed photo booth, craft activities and much more.
The central stage area will host a range of local community groups and dance school performances, followed by The Murphy Brothers who will have the crowd grooving from 7.15pm.
City of Cockburn Mayor Logan Howlett said the immersive event was a great opportunity for families and friends to spend time together to enjoy the spirit and magic of Christmas.
“Coogee Beach Reserve will transform into a Christmas extravaganza featuring inflatable Christmas characters – some towering over 4-metres high, dazzling light displays, roving Christmas characters, carollers, food trucks and more, and an incredibly joyous community concert,” Mayor Howlett said.
Picnickers are encouraged as there will be plenty of tasty treats available with local food trucks parked on site, including Master Panda, El Aleman Loco, Juice Station, Porta Pizza, Milky Monster, Silvercloud 1950 and more.
Christmas on the Coast is a carbon neutral event. This means carbon emissions released as a result of the event, from things like patron travel, food consumption and onsite generators, will be offset by the City investing in planting mixed native trees and shrubs throughout the state.
