Hundreds of thousands of dollars in community funding is available to local individuals, community groups and organisations through the Cockburn Community Fund which opened on Monday 13 February 2023.
Each year, the CCF offers financial support to projects, activities and services that benefit the local community. The funds are split into 30 different funding pools and subsidy programs.
Funding is allocated twice a year, while there are four rounds annually for junior sports travel grants and applications are open all year for individual and small events sponsorships.
In the September 2022 round, over $215,000 were awarded to 37 local community groups, organisations and individuals around the City of Cockburn.
They ranged from a $400 grant to help with the purchase of play equipment for the Success Playgroup Inc, to a $20,000 donation to the Cockburn Central YouthCARE Council’s vital services.
Applications for the Cockburn Community Fund’s March round close at 4pm Friday, 24 March.
The funding categories are:
- Community Grants
- Cultural Grants
- Sustainability Grants
- Environmental Education for Schools Grants
- Youth Art Scholarships
- Small Events Sponsorships (open all year round)
