Cockburn's iconic talent contest is back and we are looking for local stars to shine on our stage! All types of artists and acts are welcome and there are cash prizes accross three different age groups. Performances can last up to 5 minutes.

To be considered for this competition all entrants must complete this registration form and submit by 5pm, 21 February 2024.

If your application is successful, you will perform on Thursday 29 February 2024 from 6-10pm at the Cockburn Youth Centre.

Please note, that City of Cockburn residents only are permitted to enter this competition.​

Terms and conditions

  1. Age group categories: 10-13, 14-17 and 18+
  2. Depending on application numbers, performances will be split according to age.
  3. City of Cockburn residents only are permitted to enter this competition.
  4. Any performance type is allowed, however it must be tasteful with no profanities. If the performance involves high level of risk, indemnification must be provided.
  5. Maximum five (5) minutes performance duration, if accompanied by a song selection this must be submitted at least four (4) days prior to the performance date and by USB format only.
  6. Performers must sign in 20 minutes prior to their performance on their allocated night.
  7. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  8. Performers will be allocated a performance spot on a first come first served basis, as long as all other criteria are adhered to.
  9. All prizes are non-transferable and are subject to the rules of the competition.
  10. City of Cockburn staff and direct family of staff and/or Elected Members are not eligible to enter.
  11.  All photographs and video taken during the competition will remain the property of the City of Cockburn and may be used in future City of Cockburn advertising and promotions.
  12.  You will be judged on the following categories with a maximum of 50 points available to each entrant:
  • Overall ability and talent (10 points)
  • Potential (10 points)
  • Audience appeal (10 points)
  • Originality (10 points)
  • Presentation (10 points)

Prize Money

$300 cash – 1st place in each category
$200 cash – 2nd place in each category
$100 cash – 3rd place in each category
(All prizes transferred via EFT)
