International Business Delegation: EOI's Now Open

Sunday 17 - Friday 29 May
EOI's Now Open

About the event

The City is pleased to announce a second City-led international business delegation, delivered in partnership with the Indonesian and Vietnamese Consulates, planned for May 2026. Expressions of Interest are now open, and we invite businesses to apply for this exciting opportunity to expand internationally and strengthen global connections.

Building on the success of our Indonesian delegation visit in 2023, the City is looking to lead a delegation of up to 20 businesses to Vietnam (Ha Noi, Ho Chi Min City, Hai Phong and Ba Ria Vung Tau) and Surabaya Indonesia, from Sunday 17 May to Friday 29 May (13 days).

This opportunistic initiative is designed to build on existing city relationships, creating new connections across Southeast Asia. It aims to strengthen economic ties, identify bi-lateral exchange opportunities, knowledge sharing and exploring potential export and partnership opportunities for local businesses operating in these fast-growing markets.

The delegation places a strong emphasis on relationship-building, capability development, and long-term collaboration. You will have the opportunity to engage directly with Vietnamese and Indonesian counterparts, gain firsthand insights into local business environments and access to Government agencies, and identify practical pathways for future growth.

The proposed thirteen-day delegation will be structured around two focused streams:

Stream 1: Blue Economy and Shipbuilding
Exploring opportunities across the maritime sector, including shipbuilding, marine technology, Ocean sustainability and broader blue economy activities.

Stream 2: Education and Health
Focusing on partnership development and opportunity identification within education and healthcare, including vocational training, education technology and healthcare services and upskilling within the Ship building sector.

The program will be fully coordinated by the City and City’s travel partner which encompasses organised group meetings with Vietnamese and Indonesian businesses, full travel arrangements, accommodation (including breakfast), flights, visas, in-country transport and translation services for the duration of the delegation visit. Financial contribution for the suit of arrangement will be the financial contribution of each delegate.

If your business falls into one of the target streams and you’re ready to take your business to the next level through international import, export, and collaboration opportunities, lodge your expression of interest and completing the prompts by Sunday 22 March 2026

Please note: Selection for the delegation will be based on the relevance of your business to the delegation's objectives, your specific goals, and the potential benefits to the City of Cockburn.Successful applicants will be contacted directly with further details in relation to Itinerary and costings once finalised.
