About Council Meetings
The City of Cockburn holds its Ordinary Council Meetings (OCM) on the second Tuesday of each month (February to December), starting at 7pm (doors open at 6.45pm). Please note no Council Meetings are held in January.
Council meetings are open to the public, livestreamed and are held in the Council Chambers at the City’s Administration Building, 9 Coleville Crescent, Spearwood. A video recording of the Council meeting will be made available within two business days on the Council Meeting Video Recording page.
From time-to-time, Special Council Meetings (SCMs) are called for Council to consider matters which cannot wait until the next Ordinary Council Meeting. Notice of an SCM is given via an alert on the homepage of this website and on this page.

At each OCM and SCM the public has a chance to ask questions. At an OCM, these questions could relate to an item on the agenda or any other matter affecting the City. At a SCM, the question needs to relate to an item on the agenda.

Members of the public can also make a deputation at an OCM or an SCM. A deputation allows a person or group to address Council directly on an agenda item before a decision is made.
