Annual rate payments are due on 24 August 2018.
You can pay your rates in one single payment by the 24 August 2018, or alternatively, you can pay in four quarterly instalments on the following dates:
- Instalment 1 - due 24 August 2018
- Instalment 2 - due 26 October 2018
- Instalment 3 - due 4 January 2019
- Instalment 4 - due 8 March 2019
Important note: If you pay by instalments, a $5 administration fee per instalment applies (excludes pensioners/seniors). The first instalment must be paid by the date specified on the Rate Notice. Otherwise, this option is not available and rates must be paid in full. If this occurs, penalty interest of 7% per annum on rates and charges will apply daily as long as the rates remain unpaid (eligible pensioners/seniors excluded).
There are various ways you can pay your rates. Please select from the following options:
Pay rates online with a valid credit card (Visa or Mastercard) via our SecurePay hosted secure payment gateway.
Please enter numbers only for your Property Number - no letters, dashes or spaces.
To find your Property Number, look for the 'Property Number' found on the top right hand side of your Rate Notice.
You can pay your rates via BPay through your financial institution. Credit card payments are not accepted.
Please quote Biller ID: 16212 and your Reference Number which you can find on your Rate Notice.
Call 1300 085 035 anytime to pay your rates by a Master or Visa credit card.
Pay rates in person
You can pay your rates in person at:

8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday
Present your Rate Notice intact to the cashier at the Council Administration Office. Payments by credit card or EFTPOS accepted.
Centrepay is a free bill paying service for Centrelink customers.
Please contact Centrelink on 13 23 00 or visit their office and provide them with the City of Cockburn Service Provider's Centrepay Reference Number and your Account Number.
Any Australia Post outlet
will accept your payment. Please take your Rate Notice with you. Credit card payments are not accepted.
You can pay your rates automatically from a nominated bank account (savings and cheque accounts only). Credit card payments are not accepted.

The City has introduced SmartRates to make it easier for households to manage their rate payments throughout the year by allowing you to pay weekly or fortnightly, ensuring your rates are paid before the end of each financial year.
You have the option to spread your payment over 22 or 43 payments. SmartRates also means less administration fees, and the direct debit continues year after year, meaning you don't have to remember to pay by a certain time - it's that easy! Note that the option cost is a ‘total cost’ option and is not charged on each instalment.

SmartRates Direct Debit Application Forms must be submitted by 22 August 2018 in time for payments to commence on 24 August 2018. Forms received after 22 August 2018 will not be accepted and you will need to contact Rates Services to discuss an alternative payment arrangement.
