Beaches, marinas, playgrounds and stairs
From wetlands teeming with wildlife, our Bibra Lake Regional Playground with accessible Changing Place public toilet to Port Coogee Marina, Coogee Maritime Trail and Omeo shipwreck, Coogee and C.Y. O’Connor beaches, and Woodman Point, however you prefer to play, there is something in Cockburn for everyone.
But if you want to test your fitness? Test your cardio by attempting the 192 steps of Manning Stairs – also known as Cockburn’s Jacob’s Ladder.
Out in nature
If it’s time spent in nature that you’re looking for, the City of Cockburn will deliver. There is no shortage of things to do in the great outdoors that won’t cost you a cent.
A hidden gem within Cockburn is the scenic Mt Brown Walk Trail and Henderson Cliffs, located in the western portion of Beeliar Regional Park. There are spectacular and sweeping views of the cliffs and Garden and Carnac Islands from the lookout, which is a short walk from the parking area. There is also a short loop trail along the cliff top, with a dual use walk and bicycle path heading south to Mount Brown, with more trails through Beeliar Regional Park.
The unique Henderson Cliffs are made up of Tamala limestone, and you can walk along them on a pleasant 400m long coastal pathway with assistance and access for people with disability.

Cockburn is home to the Adventure World theme park, Cockburn Ice Arena, and the award-winning Cockburn ARC (Aquatic and Recreation Centre), located next to the Dockers Football Club’s men and women’s AFL teams training ground and HQ.
