Graffiti is costly to remove and negatively affects the appearance of our community. Be an active participant in community safety by reporting graffiti.
WA Police recommends that the following graffiti-related incidents be immediately reported to the Police by calling 131 444:
- Graffiti in progress
- Offensive racial or religious graffiti or personal threats
- Graffiti incidents on properties owned by Members of Parliament (State & Commonwealth) and other notable individuals.

The City will remove graffiti in the following instances:
- Public property (City owned assets) - all graffiti will be removed
- Residential property - only if the graffiti is visible to the public
- Commercial property: only if the graffiti it is racist or obscene.
Important note: For privately owned property, the City will cover costs to a maximum of $400 per incident (based on the average cost of graffiti removal) and $1,200 per property per year. Any costs above this must be covered by the property owner.
