Terms and Conditions :The following important details regarding the process:
  • Meter Installation: The City of Cockburn will coordinate the installation of the meter and connection to the Non-Potable water supply. While this water is not suitable for drinking, it is ideal for landscape irrigation. There is no cost for the connection or water usage from the Non-Potable system. Upon installation, the tap at the connection will remain turned off.
  • Resident's Responsibility: It is the responsibility of the resident to arrange for a qualified irrigation specialist to install the irrigation system from the Non-Potable water connection.
  • Pressure Valve:  A pilot regulator (3bar) should be installed on to to the master valve; this is to regulate the high pressure from the Non-Potable water supply.
  • Activating the Isolation Valve: The valve at the meter connection will remain off until you are ready to use the water supply. Please ensure the tap is turned on when you wish to begin using it. In the event of any irrigation damage, the resident must close the isolation value and repair the irrigation at their own cost. 
  • Note: If the Non-Potable water supply main line which is located before the resident’s meter is damaged, please report this to the City of Cockburn.
