Youth Centre Holiday Program

The Cockburn Youth Centre is open to young people aged 10–24 (the month they turn 10 but not earlier). 

Holiday programs, apart from Youth Diversity Inc. programs, are for 10–17 year olds.

Hang out and talk all things guitar, song-writing and
music industry. Suitable for everyone. Whether you’re a
beginner wanting to learn the instrument, or a seasoned
performer wanting to workshop songs and build industry
knowledge - just let us know what your goals are and we’ll
cater the session to you. Bookings essential.

6 July  D&D A dwarven mine has fallen silent after a new vein of ore
has been discovered. A group of cave divers are seeking
answers to this underground mystery. A level 6 underdark
adventure.

6 July  Dodgeball Pit your wits against Josh. Duck, dive and dodge in our
dodgeball tournament. There are prizes to be won!

7 July Karaoke Sing your heart out at CYC karaoke as your host Freddie
plays your favourite tunes... Not a singer? Not to worry...
That’s why it’s called karaoke!

7 July Pathfinder 2 – Crypt of Everflame Every year the people of Kassen celebrate a coming-of-age
ceremony in which a group of adventurers seek out the
flame of the town hero to keep safe for another winter.
A level 1 dungeon crawl.

7 July Badminton Step onto the court and take on the best CYC has to offer in
a bit of badminton.

7 July Regenerating Australia Screening Cockburn Youth Centre will host a screening of Regenerating
Australia followed by some healthy, but delicious snacks.
Then construct your own bee hotel!

8 July Barista Basics Ever fancied getting behind a barista machine? Head down
to the centre for a Barista Basics session with Graham from
‘Grey Means Well’. We will be holding two 1-hour sessions.

stop functioning stranding many ships in hyperspace. A
level 3 sci-fi RPG adventure.

14 July Ping Pong Tournament Think you’ve got what it takes to be King of the table? Pit
your wits against the best the Centre has to offer.

15 July Mario Kart Race away with great prizes and compete with friends
across the tracks of Mario Kart 8 on Nintendo Switch.

15 July Gamevault This afternoon the CYC Crew have invited the Gamevault
to the centre! Join us for an immersive gaming
experience like no other.
Free 1-4pm  
16 July Malifaux Come and play this popular card-based wargame set
in a frontier wild west world. Colourful armies such as
robots, elementals, drunken gremlins and more battle
for glory!

Memberships

Our Youth Centre memberships are free but are mandatory for anyone using the Centre. You can become a member by filling out a membership form in person at the Youth Centre or complete the below form.

Program Bookings

For programs with a cost, bookings can be made in person at the Youth Centre or by calling 9411 3888.
Spaces may be limited and we recommend calling ahead and checking if spaces are available. If you are experiencing financial hardship, speak to a staff member and we can work something out for you. 

Personal Belongings and Food

During the school holidays we may provide lunch; however it is best to come prepared. We have a fridge and secure lockers for storing personal belongings. Each person must be responsible for their own belongings.

Hang Out

Our free program and hangout spaces are open to everyone. Equipment incudes basketballs, X-box, PlayStation, pool table, ping pong, books, slackline and Foozball.

Program rules

Please abide by the following rules and do not:

  • Behave or speak in a racist or sexist manner
  • Verbally abuse or threaten anyone
  • Behave in a violent or aggressive way
  • Carry any weapons at any time
  • Deliberately damage any property
  • Take any drugs, drink or smoke. Please note that anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol will not be allowed to attend

You may be removed from the Youth Centre if you breach the rules.
