The Cockburn Youth Centre is open to young people aged 10–24 (the month they turn 10 but not earlier). 

Holiday programs, apart from Youth Diversity Inc. programs, are for 10–17 year olds.

Tuesday 11 April  Pathfinder 2e The Golden Empress has disappeared! The nation of Kashina, relies on a golden-furred kitsune to decide all matters of state. But with her absence, trouble spreads across the land. You play adventurers who have been hired by the court to assure the nation that all is indeed well. [Level 5]

Tuesday 11 April  DJ Workshop Spend the school holidays mastering the basics of DJing - from track selection to beat matching, mixing, and audio effects. Bring a USB loaded with your favourite tunes (optional) and we'll have you mixing in no time. Free 11am-1pm Sounds
Wednesday 12 April  Basketball Join Riley to learn the basics, take your game to the next level or just have some fun. There will be games and competitions with prizes to be won! Free 2-5pm Main Hall
Wednesday 12 April  Guitar Lessons 1-on-1 45 minute music sessions with Mason! Hang out and talk all things guitar, song-writing and music industry!
Suitable for everyone! Whether you're a beginner wanting to learn the instrument, or a seasoned performer wanting to workshop songs and build industry knowledge - just let us know what your goals are and we'll cater the session to you!

Wednesday 12 April  Garden Craft Come and get crafty in our garden! Join us in the CYC Garden to pot up some plants, decorate some pots and take care of our vegetables. Free 1-4pm Garden
Thursday 13 April  Keys 4 Life A pre-driver program to prepare you for your learners. Session 1 of 2. You must attend both to complete. You must be over 15 years old. Bookings essential. Free 9.30am-4pm The Pod
Thursday 13 April  Dungeons & Dragons At the edges of the Withermoore Highlands, the war-torn Kraglands stretch out like a blighted horizon - Orcs, Hobgoblins and Manticore wage constant war against the Knights of Withermoore, but a new threat has arisen. Strange soldiers in suits of armour that march tirelessly towards the Gates of the Citadel. Who is this new threat and what do they want? [Level 5] $10 10am-4pm The Pod
Thursday 13 April  Bike Hike Departing Youth Centre at 9.45am and returning around 11am.
Ages 10-17 (we will be covering distances of 8-12km).
This program is FREE but bookings are essential. We have limited bikes and helmets available or you can BYO.

Saturday 15 April Tabletop Guild Come along for fun with an array of cool nerdy boardgames! Ultimate Werewolf, Betrayal at the House on the Hill, Dead of Winter and many more. Free 12-4pm Foyer
Saturday 15 April Hospo Legends

Barista and hospitality training with Mason! From making coffee, to three-plating and the 'flow of service'; learn all the tips and tricks of the hospitality industry in a friendly and laid-back environment. Chillhop, chats and caffeine!

Monday 17 April Cooking with Kel: Cookie Couture Let your creative side shine decorating some giant cookies at CYC with Chef Kel! Once you’ve decorated them you eat them or take them home. The choice is yours. Free 10am-1pm  
Monday 17 April Filmmaking Workshop Ever wanted to try filmmaking? Come join Leila to participate in this 4-hour fast-paced film creation workshop and premiere your films at the end of the class. Free 12-4pm  
Tuesday 18 April My Hero Academia! UA Academy has one of the best Super Hero Courses in the world and you are playing aspiring heroes on a quest to become a Pro-Hero. Play through the entrance exam and prove to the world that you have that PLUS ULTRA spirit! $10 10am-4pm

Memberships

Our Youth Centre memberships are free but are mandatory for anyone using the Centre. You can become a member by filling out a membership form in person at the Youth Centre or complete the below form.

Program Bookings

For programs with a cost, bookings can be made in person at the Youth Centre or by calling 9411 3888.
Spaces may be limited and we recommend calling ahead and checking if spaces are available. If you are experiencing financial hardship, speak to a staff member and we can work something out for you. 

Personal Belongings and Food

During the school holidays we may provide lunch; however it is best to come prepared. We have a fridge and secure lockers for storing personal belongings. Each person must be responsible for their own belongings.

Hang Out

Our free program and hangout spaces are open to everyone. Equipment incudes basketballs, X-box, PlayStation, pool table, ping pong, books, slackline and Foozball.

Program rules

Please abide by the following rules and do not:

  • Behave or speak in a racist or sexist manner
  • Verbally abuse or threaten anyone
  • Behave in a violent or aggressive way
  • Carry any weapons at any time
  • Deliberately damage any property
  • Take any drugs, drink or smoke. Please note that anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol will not be allowed to attend

You may be removed from the Youth Centre if you breach the rules.
