Cockburn Youth Centre offers a range of engaging after-school term programs for young people aged 10–17 years.

If playing role-playing games, working on drama productions, music, basketball or connecting with peers is your thing, we have you covered. We even have programs that help you create a resume and identify relevant jobs with our Employ Me program. Need your Learners driving permit? We have it covered with Keys for Life.

Monday 3D Creations
Join Aidan for an introduction to 3D Creations on Blender. Learn the basics of rendering, modelling and animation to bring your ideas to life!

Monday Cooking with Chef Kel
Come down to CYC for some delicious food prepared by our very own Chef Kel and his team.

Monday Darts Training
Junior darts training starts back up. Beginners are always welcome!

Tuesday Hoops at the Youth Centre
Want to learn the basics, take your game to the next level or just have some fun? Join our weekly basketballs clinics for all skill levels.

Tuesday Dungeons and Dragons
Join a game of imagination and wonder! We have an assortment of amazing games for those with an adventurous spirit, including Pathfinder and Dungeons and Dragons.
4-6.30pm $8
Wednesday Private Music Lessons
1-on-1, 30 minute sessions. Keyboard, beginner drums, guitar, bass and music production.

Up for a bit of fun fitness that packs a punch? Join us for some boxing drills and skills every Wednesday evening!

Wednesday RPG - Pathfinder
The city of Kintargo is in peril! The evil Barzillai Thrune has taken control and it is up to a ragtag gang to free the city and depose the tyrant. Join the rebellion in this Pathfinder 1e adventure.

Wednesday Youth Advisory Collective (YAC) 
YAC is a volunteer group for people who want to develop themselves and make a difference in their

Thursday Employ Me
Need help creating cover letters or resumes, searching and applying for jobs, and mapping your career path to land that dream job? Half hour sessions with Hugo in person, online or by phone. Bookings required.

Thursday Youth Diversity INC.
A social support group for young people with diverse sexualities and genders aged 15-24.
6-8pm FREE
Thursday Herb your Enthusiasm
Join us for all things gardening! Come and get involved with planting, feeding, pruning, harvesting, garden craft and more. Open for first timers and garden wizards alike. When it comes to gardening we are kind of a big dill and we the we don’t moss around!

Friday Drama Incubator
New to drama? The drama incubator is the perfect stepping stone for you, allowing you to explore your creative and theatrical side.

Friday Advanced Drama Academy
Continue the drama and unleash your power on the stage.

Friday Showcase Studio
Whether you’re working on something new and don’t have a place to show it off or looking for a place to pick up some industry knowledge. The Showcase Studio offers you a space to be around supportive and like-minded people to get the creative juices flowing!

Saturday Hospo Legends

Barista and hospitality training with Mason! From making coffee, to three-plating and the 'flow of service'; learn all the tips and tricks of the hospitality industry in a friendly and laid-back environment. Chillhop, chats and caffeine!

11am - 12pm - Confident Coffee Slingers

Saturday Tabletop Guild
‚ÄčGet your dice and decks ready for a day of fun and games with tabletop Guild. Lovers of tabletop games welcome! Games include Malifaux, betrayal at the house on the hill, Maximum Apocalypse, Munchkin and more!

Important Information

The Youth Centre is for young people aged 10–24 years (the month they turn 10) to drop in and get involved. Programs held during school term and holidays are for 10–17 year olds.
Membership is free and is required for anyone using the Centre and its programs.
Program Bookings
Bookings and payments can be made by phone or in person at the Centre. Spaces for programs are limited, so please book in advance.
Personal Belongings and Food
Some of our programs include lunch, although it’s best to come prepared. We have a fridge and secure lockers for storing personal belongings. Each person is responsible for their own belongings.
Hang Out
Our hangout spaces are open for all to use and include X–box, PlayStation, a pool table, ping pong, slackline and Foozball. Young people are welcome to drop in from 3pm on weekdays.
