Cockburn Youth Centre offers a range of engaging after-school term programs for young people aged 10 – 17 years.

If playing role-playing games, working on drama productions, music, basketball or connecting with peers is your thing, we have you covered. We even have programs that help you create a resume and identify relevant jobs with our Employ Me program. Need your Learners driving permit? We have it covered with Keys 4 Life.

Monday Crafty Things  Join Kirstin on her craft table for a different crafty project each week 4–5.30pm $5
Monday Young Men’s Boxing A boxing program for young men aged 12-17 which models discipline, willpower and respect while learning boxing technique, strength and functional fitness 4.45–5.45pm $10
Monday Darts  Junior darts training starts back up and beginners are welcome! 5–6.30pm FREE
Tuesday D&D 5e, Pathfinder & Maximum Apocalypse  Dream of joining a game of imagination and wonder? Then look no further! Our tabletop RPG program is just the place for those with an adventurous spirit to come along and be a part of the fun in an assortment of amazing roleplaying games, including D&D 5e, Pathfinder 1e & Maximum Apocalypse 4.30–7pm  $8
Wednesday Young Adult Book Club October 14, November 11, December 9
Open to 15–24 year olds who love reading and listening! Come chat about your favourite books and podcasts with Michaela from Success Library. Be the first in the know of the latest and greatest

Wednesday Tour De Cockburn

Bike rides on the 14th and 21st of October followed by a workshop with Bike Doctor on 28th. Remainder of school term will be an indoor cycling program at the ARC

Wednesday Private Music Lessons One-on-one, 30 minute sessions. Guitar, bass, vocals, drums, keyboard, songwriting and recording for all styles and abilities.  4–7pm $20
Wednesday Tabletop RPG - Pathfinder  The city of Kintargo is in peril! The evil Barzillai Thrune has taken control of the city and it is up to a rag tag group of rebels to free the city and depose the tyrant. Come and join the rebellion today in this Pathfinder 1st edition adventure 4.30–7pm $8
Wednesday Young Men’s Boxing
A boxing program for young men aged 12-17 which models discipline, willpower and respect. Participants will learn boxing technique, strength and functional fitness.

Every second Wednesday

Youth Advisory Collective (YAC) The Youth Advisory Collective meets from January to November. Meetings take place every second Wednesday during school terms. 5–6pm FREE
Thursday Employ Me Need some help creating cover letters and resumes, searching and applying for jobs, and mapping your career pathway to land that dream job? Half hour sessions with Hugo available in person, online or over the phone. 3.30–5pm FREE
Thursday  Private Music Lessons opens in a new window One-on-one, 30 minute sessions. Bass, vocals and songwriting for all styles and abilities. 3.30–6pm $20
Thursday Young Women's Boxing Project Boxing requires endurance, courage, strength, speed and agility. Challenge yourself and develop self-confidence and resilience 5–6.30pm FREE
Thursday Youth Diversity Inc. opens in a new window Join our social support group for young people aged 15–24 who are part of the LGBTIQA+ community or are questioning their gender or sexuality. Allies are welcome! 5–8pm FREE
Thursday Late Night Depending on the evening, we will have girls' group, craft, karaoke or cooking for your enjoyment. What it is, you know it will be fun! 6.30–9pm FREE
Friday Photography 101 We provide the cameras so you can learn different photography skills each week with the opportunity to showcase your favourite shot at our End of Term gallery. This new program has limited spots so book your place quickly. 3.30–5pm FREE
Friday Drama Incubator New to drama? The drama incubator is the perfect stepping stone for you, allowing you to explore your creative and theatrical side.  4–5.30pm $10
Friday Drama Continue the drama and unleash your power on the stage. 5.30–7pm $10
Saturday Tabletop Guild Let the dice roll and cards fly! Fans of tabletop gaming - come along to the Tabletop Guild and play in an assortment of unique and challenging games including Malifaux, Maximum Apocalypse, Betrayal at the House on the Hill and more! 1–4pm FREE
