Cockburn Youth Centre has reopened! Our schedule of programs are increasing, with the in-centre school holiday program commencing 6 July. The Outrage school holiday program will not be taking place over the July school holidays. COVID-19 changes at the Youth Centre

The Youth Centre will gradually reopen as of 18 May 2020. To keep everyone safe, the following changes will be implemented:

Parents/ youth

  • Anyone exhibiting signs of illness must not attend the centre, and will be asked to leave if they do turn up
  • Young people to be dropped off and collected from the car park
  • Participants are required to bring their own water bottles and utensils
  • No shared food.

Programs and bookings

  • Bookings required to ensure programs do not exceed 20 (excluding staff) 
  • Programs modified to ensure social distancing and hygiene. Where this cannot be maintained the program will not be offered.
  • A sign-in register for all programs will be kept for COVID-19 tracing purposes (privacy principles maintained)
  • Room capacity has been reduced to accommodate 4 sqm rule.

Cleaning

  • Hand hygiene/ sanitiser to be used at the start and completion of all programs
  • Extra cleaning of all contact surfaces will take place between sessions by staff and participants
  • Equipment cleaned following use
  • Signage displayed reminding people of social distancing and good hygiene.

The Cockburn Youth Centre

Cockburn Youth Centre (CYC) is a safe and welcoming environment for all young people aged 10-24. Our drop in space offers a pool table, ping pong, foozball, gaming consoles, indoor and outdoor basketball, computers, free WiFi and more.

CYC also offers social, recreational and educational programs for young people aged 10-17. The team at CYC release 4 term programs and 8 school holiday programs each year made up of free and low cost activities for young people.

Cockburn Youth Centre offers room hire including a large hall and stage space, multiple community meeting rooms, music/jam room, and recording studio.

Where is the Cockburn Youth Centre? 

The Youth Centre is at 25 Wentworth Parade in Success.

When is the Centre open?

The Centre is open six days a week. During school holidays, opening hours are:
Monday to Friday: 9am to 6pm
Saturday: 9am to 4pm
Sunday: Closed 

At other times, the Centre is open:
Monday to Friday: 9am to 7pm (open until 9pm on Thursdays)
Saturday: 9am to 4pm
Sunday: Closed
 

How do I join?

Cockburn Youth Centre memberships are for young people aged 10 – 24 years. Membership is free and it enables you to book into our great programs each school term and school holidays.
