Seniors Centre members enjoy discounted services, meals and activities, including outings. Annual memberships are available and provide access to activities, outings, discounted meals plus much more.

About the Cockburn Seniors Centre

The Cockburn Seniors Centre provides recreational, educational, health and social activities, classes, events, meals, outings and courses for people aged 50 and over. These include:

  • Meals - Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 12pm (pre-order before 10am)
  • Café - Monday,Tuesday and Thursday 9.30am – 1.15pm
  • Services - A centre-based hairdresser and naturopath available by appointment
  • Transport - A pick-up service is available for members without transport – booking required
  • Computer Room - PCs and free WiFi available for members to use. A variety of community groups operate from the centre.

Become a Seniors Centre member

Membership to Cockburn Seniors Centre is $48.50 for the period 1 July 2019 - 30 June 2020.

Members enjoy access to:

  • Centre activities ranging from no cost to $7.50 per class
  • Outings (prices vary)
  • Meals $10.50 for two courses, plus tea/coffee and/or main course only $7.50.

Cockburn Seniors Centre - Computer Courses

Beginners Computing Class (6 Weeks) $45
16 April - 21st May 10am - 12pm
Learn how to navigate around a computer, create a document and use the internet.

Social Media (2 Weeks) $15
5th & 12th March 12.30pm - 2.30pm
Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and WhatsApp. Learn how to post a tweet.

Emails (2 Weeks) $15
16 & 23rd April 12.30pm - 2.30pm
Learn how to create and send emails, reply and forward emails. Attach photos to emails to send.

Downloading Photos (2 Weeks) $15
30 April & 7 May 12.30pm - 2.30pm
Bring along your phone and or camera and learn how to download pictures to a computer and organise into folders. Learn how to put photos on a USB ready to print, share or store. Must bring all necessary cables.

File Explorer (2 Weeks) $15
14 & 21 May 12.30pm - 2.30 pm
Learn how to create folders, move files and work with USBs, please bring a usb.
