Friday 5 December:
A magical symphony under the stars will be coming to Atwell Reserve next Saturday 13 December for Christmas on the Green.


Thursday 4 December:
The osprey nesting pole we installed at Coogee Beach in 2012 is currently home to a breeding pair and their three chicks.

Local volunteer group Cockburn Coastcare have been monitoring the nest atop the pole and report the chicks will soon fledge and leave the nest, joining other local birdlife along our coast.

Perth Intrepid Landcare’s crew installed 1.5 tonnes of brushing to help stabilise the dunes at McTaggart Cove at C.Y. O’Connor Beach in North Coogee, paving the way for a healthier coastline and inspiring the next generation of changemakers.

Kwinana Freeway was closed between Armadale Road to Beeliar Drive southbound around 2pm after a truck and car collided near the Cockburn train station.
Emergency services rushed to the scene, with a St John ambulance taking the driver of the car - a female in her 60s - to Royal Perth Hospital.

The Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games will be a "catalyst Games" for Paralympians, according to wheelchair road racing champion Madison De Rozario.
Ms De Rosario is an inductee in the City of Cockburn Sports Hall of Fame.


Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence Richard Marles says the government has received the Pentagon's much-anticipated review into the $368 billion AUKUS submarine pact, declaring Washington is "fully supportive" of the deal.

Sunday 30 November:
Perth’s CBD was awash with colour on Saturday night as thousands lined the streets for the city’s annual Pride parade, transforming the area into a glowing river of lights, music and celebration.

Among the standout displays was the Fremantle Dockers’ vibrant float — a first for the club in its third year of participation.
