Henderson business Shoreline Marine Fabrication has been awarded the tender to build a new 8.5-metre vessel to enhance scientific research and capability in the Kimberley.

A shopping centre with a tavern has been given the green light for Jandakot, five years on from the controversial closure of a golf course and its bar.

Wednesday 7 May:
The City has installed a zero-waste container refill station at its Cockburn ARC aquatic and recreation centre.

City of Cockburn Waste Education Coordinator Clare Courtauld and Skipping Stones Owner Mia Pitassi were interviewed by Kate Leaver for Mark Gibson’s ABC Radio Breakfast Show. (from 2:19:38)
The Skipping Stones Refillery enables consumers to repeatedly refill their reusable containers with a range of household liquids rather than discarding empty containers and buying products in a new container each time. The aim is to reduce the amount of waste, particularly plastic, going to landfill.
The refillery provides a variety of WA-made eco-conscious products including dish and laundry detergents, shampoo and conditioner, plus body wash and lotion, and hand wash.

Two years after Amazon Australia opened a 20,000sqm distribution centre in Jandakot, it has launched free same-day delivery of more than 300,000 items across Perth, becoming only the second city in the country to get the service.
