About the event

Have you been thinking about starting a side business or creating an additional income stream, but not sure where to begin?

The City of Cockburn is partnering with Business Foundations to deliver a practical workshop designed for people wanting to explore self-employment, freelancing or small business ideas in a realistic and achievable way.

This beginner-friendly session is ideal for:

  • People exploring a side hustle alongside full-time work
  • Those wanting to test a business idea before making a major commitment
  • Individuals looking to build additional income streams
  • Early-stage businesses wanting guidance on first steps

Attendees will gain practical insights into turning skills and ideas into income, understanding the basics of setting up a business, and identifying simple next steps to move forward with confidence.

The workshop will also be hosted at one of the City’s local co-working spaces, with attendees invited to explore the venue and learn more about the flexible workspace opportunities available for local businesses and entrepreneurs.

A light lunch will be provided.

We anticipate strong interest in this special event, so early registration is encouraged as places are limited.
