About the event

Join our Urban Forest team for a relaxed, informal stroll as we chat about tree care in the City of Cockburn and share simple tips for looking after your own trees at home. Whether it's trees on your verge or in your backyard, this is your chance to ask questions and learn how to keep your trees healthy.

What we’ll cover:

  • Easy ways to maintain trees at home
  • Tips on pruning, watering, and soil care
  • How to spot and address common tree issues
  • Supporting wildlife through tree care
  • How the City cares for trees

It’s all about learning in a laid-back setting, so bring your questions and enjoy the stroll!

Meet at the southern carpark, Manning Park.

About the WA Tree Festival

Trees are crucial for wildlife – they provide shelter, food, and habitats for countless species, all while helping to cool our environment and improve our wellbeing. The WA Tree Festival brings together local councils and community groups across the state to celebrate the vital role trees play in supporting wildlife.

In the lead-up to and throughout the festival, we’re hosting events and initiatives focused on greening Cockburn and protecting local wildlife.

The WA Tree Festival runs from 12 April to 10 May across WA.

From raising awareness about how trees support wildlife to creating connections with nature, discover an event near you and help make a difference for our local wildlife!
