Reuse Shop

Browse affordable, pre-loved items at the Reuse Shop at Henderson Waste Recovery Park. Every purchase helps reduce waste and supports local community projects.

Location and opening hours

The Re-Use Shop is located at the Henderson Waste Recovery Park, 920 Rockingham Road, Henderson.

Opening hours:

  • Friday: 8am to 4pm (last entry 3.45pm)
  • Saturday: 8am to 1pm (last entry 12.45pm)
  • Also open on public holidays.

The shop is closed on other days to allow employees time to sort, prepare and present new items for sale.

How the Reuse Shop works

The Reuse Shop gives everyday household items a second chance by rescuing them from landfill. It’s not a donation centre, so you can’t drop items off directly. Instead, Henderson Waste Recovery Park employees carefully sort through materials delivered for waste and recycling and set aside anything suitable for resale.

When you visit the Waste Recovery Park, you dispose of items in the usual way, using your trailer pass if you have one or paying the standard entry fee. Employees identify items that meet Australian Safety Standards and have resale value, and display them for sale in the shop.

Item requests and holds

Because all items come from what is dropped off at the Park, the range changes all the time. You can’t call ahead to ask about, hold or reserve items. The best way to find something special is to drop in during opening hours and explore what’s on offer.

Pricing and payments

Prices are set to keep items affordable and are not negotiable. Payment is by EFTPOS only.

Note: All income generated through the Henderson Waste Recovery Park supports community projects across the City, including major facilities such as the Cockburn ARC.

Conditions of entry

To help keep the Reuse Shop safe and welcoming for everyone:

  • Pets are not permitted.
  • Prices are fixed and negotiation is not permitted.
  • Visitors must be courteous and respectful to employees and other customers. Aggressive or abusive behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in being asked to leave the premises.
