Cockburn is home to a number of local arts and cultural groups. Please see the list below for information on the groups and the types of activities they are involved in.
Artzplace is a group of visual artists who provide a wide selection of activities for members such as an annual members exhibition, workshops, retreats and other art related activities. The group meets Monday nights from 7pm.

The Cockburn Community and Cultural Council is an umbrella group for several art/cultural groups who operate from the Old Council Chambers in Hamilton Hill. The group meets on the fourth Thursday of the month from 7.30pm.

The Historical Society of Cockburn oversees the operation of the Azelia Ley Homestead museum complex and related activities. The Society meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 4pm and new members are always welcome.

The City is designing an artist database for all our arts, events and heritage community from performing to writing to visual and everything in between. This database will allow Cockburn artists to promote themselves, groups and their artforms. Want to know more about art in Cockburn? The City hosts a number of annual cultural events, to celebrate various groups and anniversaries in Cockburn.
These include:
- Harmony Day – March each year
- Cultural Fair – April each year
- Show Off Art Exhibition – April each year at Memorial Hall (Artists by invite only)
- ANZAC Day – 25 April each year at Memorial Hall
- Reconciliation Week – May each year
- Heritage Week – June - Foundation Day to following Sunday
- NAIDOC – Early July each year
- Hiroshima Day – Early August each year
- Cockburn Rotary Spring Fair – Last Sunday in October each year
