The City of Cockburn proposes to commence a trading undertaking involving an expansion of the Port Coogee Marina. In accordance with Section 3.59 of the Local Government Act 1995, the City has prepared a business plan, referred to as the Port Coogee Marina Expansion Business Case. The City of Cockburn has invited community to have their say on the business plan for the marina’s fourth stage of expansion. This stage is expected to bring lasting social, community and economic benefits to Cockburn, enhancing the marina as a destination for recreation, connection, and opportunity. The business plan outlines the proposed upgrades which have been designed to meet the growing demand for additional boat pens across our City and the State. After the submission period, Council reviewed all feedback before deciding whether to proceed with the expansion. The Port Coogee Marina Expansion Stage Four Business Case has been endorsed by Council in May 2026 with an additional motion: Council have requested that a further report be presented before March 2027 to identify options and costings for additional car parking capacity through either purchasing free hold land or through parking embayment’s within existing street reserves and parks.
