Sea Container and Skip Bin permits required

Temporary placement of sea containers or skip bins on verge

Sea containers and skip bins can be temporarily located on the verge of a property, where a request has been submitted and approved by the City.

Please note that the following conditions apply. 
  • Sea container must be not be larger than 6m3 (20 foot)
  • Skip bin must not be larger than 8m3
  • Can only be placed on the verge for a maximum of 14 days
  • Must not be located on a footpath (where possible)
  • Not to impede the vision of adjacent property owners
  • Not to impede the street tree (where possible).

To apply for temporary placement of a skip bin or sea container on a verge, please complete the form below.

Please allow a minimum 5 business days for processing.
 

Traffic and road safety assessment

Upon request, the City may provide a free assessment to property owner’s for traffic and road safety.
