Want to reduce your energy and water bills? The City offers free home eco-audits to residents, tenants and landlords in Cockburn. Applications are invited all year round, with funding distributed one or two times a year.
The City of Cockburn offers a limited number of free home check-ups to home owners, tenants and landlords in Cockburn each year. Successful applicants can receive tailored advice on energy, water and waste to help reduce household electricity, gas and water bills.
A home sustainability advisor will check:
- Reticulation
- Hot water
- Fridges and pools/spas are working efficiently
- Standby loads
- Heating and cooling and suggest improvements
- Give tips on future eco-renovations.
As well as the check-up, you can receive bonus installation of free eco hardware in your home or a ‘Twin Bin’ compost setup valued at over $100.
Please contact the City to register your interest in receiving a free home eco audit. The City invites applications all year round, however funding rounds are limited to one or two per year.
DIY Home Energy Assessment Toolkits are also available for loan from Cockburn Libraries.
