The Community Grants Program is a financial support program for organisations within the City of Cockburn. Not-for-profit groups are eligible to apply for up to $15,000. The City’s Community Grants program financially supports local groups to host projects, programs and activities for the benefit of the wider community. The City also provides in-kind support and advice to groups applying for grants.
Community grants are available to not-for-profit groups in the City who:
- Primarily serve the residents of Cockburn
- Can demonstrate a high level of community support
- Can demonstrate financial stability and sound project management.
Community grants can be used for a range of purposes including:
- Minor capital works
- Pilot programs
- Brochures/ pamphlets
- Art works
Groups can apply for a maximum of $15,000, with smaller amounts encouraged. Applicants that can demonstrate financial and in-kind contributions will be considered favourably.
The City has two funding rounds each year, in March and September. Funding is advertised widely.
