Cockburn Youth Centre offers a range of engaging after-school term programs for young people aged 10–17 years (unless otherwise stated).
Program places are limited and require booking

If playing role-playing games, working on drama productions, music, basketball or connecting with peers is your thing, we have you covered.

We even have programs that help you create a resume and identify relevant jobs with our Employ Me program. Need your Learners driving permit? We have it covered with Keys for Life.

Day Program Time
Monday Warhammer and Board Games ​
Get involved in some Warhammer and board gaming action with our resident gaming champions! A great space to meet some new people and learn some new games. Everything is provided.
4pm-6pm
Tuesday CYC Role Playing Games
Join professional DM Michael for some serious RPG action. Face deadly mythical threats, cast spells and forge your own adventure. 
4pm-6.30pm
Tuesday Gone Fishin’
Join the CYC team and learn some skills from Recfish WA at Woodmans Point Ammo Jetty. Caregivers welcome to stay. Fishing rod and baits provided. THIS IS AN OFFSITE PROGRAM.
3:45pm- 5pm
Tuesday Crafternoons
Come and get creative at CYC. We will provide basic craft supplies and run a mix of casual sessions and structured projects.
4pm- 5:30pm
Wednesday CYC Role Playing Games

Thursday YDI
A supportive and inclusive space for LGBTIQA+ young people ages 15-24 to socialise with peers.

Thursday Drum Circle
Join Tom and Steve for CYC drum circle. Learn the basics of keeping a rhythm and hand drumming and a casual group environment.
4pm-5pm
Friday Drama Incubator
New to drama? The incubator is the perfect starting point to discover and develop your theatrical talents. 
4pm- 5:30pm
Friday Drama- Advanced Academy
For more experienced performers. Continue the drama and unleash your power on stage. 
5.30pm-7pm 
Friday Jam Session
Join Mason and Tom for an open jam session. Learn to play in a band and meet like-minded music legends.  All instruments and skill levels welcome. 
3:30pm- 6:30pm
Saturday Tabletop
Grab your dice and decks for an action-packed day of fun and games, including Betrayal at the House on the happy Hill, Happy Little Dinosaurs, Munchkin, Sheriff of Nottingham and more. Plus, every second week, step into the world of Malifaux- cowboys, zombies and mages wargame. (Minis are available for loan if booked in advance).

Important Information

Ages
The Youth Centre is for young people aged 10–24 years (the month they turn 10) to drop in and get involved. Programs held during school term and holidays are for 10–17 year olds.
Memberships
Membership is free and is required for anyone using the Centre and its programs.
Program Bookings
Bookings and payments can be made by phone( 94113888) or in person at the Centre.
Spaces for programs are limited, so please book in advance.
Personal Belongings and Food
Some of our programs include lunch, although it’s best to come prepared. We have a fridge and secure lockers for storing personal belongings. Each person is responsible for their own belongings.
Hang Out
Our hangout spaces are open for all to use and include X–box, PlayStation, a pool table, ping pong, slackline and Foozball. Young people are welcome to drop in from 3pm on weekdays.
