About the Cockburn Seniors Centre

The Cockburn Seniors Centre provides recreational, educational, health and social activities, classes, events, meals, outings and courses for people aged 50 and over. These include:

  • Meals - Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at midday (pre-order before 10am)
  • CafĂ© - Tuesday and Thursday 9am –12.15pm - orders from 8.30am til midday
  • Services - a centre-based hairdresser and naturopath available by appointment
  • Transport - a van pick-up service is available for members who are transport disadvantaged – booking required
  • Computer Room - computers/iPads and free WiFi available for members to use.

Become a member 

Membership to Cockburn Seniors Centre is $50 for one year - 1 July 2022 - 30 June 2023.

Members enjoy access to:

  • Centre activities that are free or up to a maximum of $8 per class
  • Outings (prices vary)
  • Meals $11.50 for two courses, plus tea/coffee and/or main course only $8.50.

Outings Booking Conditions

  • Outings are available for members only
  • Payment must be made at time of booking for all outings
  • Bookings can be made for a maximum of two people (yourself and one other member) (full name is required of the member you are booking on behalf of)
  • Apologies, but cancellations cannot be refunded
  • Please advise of any special dietary requirements at time of booking

Crown Casino Thursday 2 June 9.00am – 3.30pm
Enjoy a trip to the casino, enjoying each other’s company, look around at the fabulous foyer displays and soak in the ambience of the Crown.  Have a flutter and come home a winner.
Please gamble responsibly.

Morning Melodies – Take 2 Duo Friday 10 June 9.15am – 3.00pm
Take 2 duo Rod and Bazz (former The Haze Showband members) will have you rocking along to songs from the 40’s to the present. They perform hits from a variety of artists including: BB King, The Monkees, The Beach Boys, Elvis Presley, Willie Nelson, The Stones, The Troggs, Shakin’ Stevens, Billy Joel, The Travellin’ Wilburys and more.  After the show let’s head off to “King Road Brewery” for lunch.

AQWA Thursday 16 June 9.30am – 3.00pm
An awesome underwater adventure awaits you at the Aquarium of Western Australia.  Discover Western Australia’s spectacular marine life as you go on an underwater journey along our diverse and expansive coastline!  After exploring the environment at AQWA enjoy a yummy lunch.

Swan Valley Adventure Wednesday 22 June 8.30am – 4.30pm
Let’s escape to Edgecombe Bros winery for a relaxed, rustic charm lunch and wine tasting.  Along the way we will be stopping at Whistler’s Chocolate Co to taste the handmade chocolate, next, discover the secrets and traditions of Mondo Nougat, let’s buzz our way to The House of Honey to taste the delicious raw honey and our last stop after lunch is the famous Margaret River Chocolate Company where you can taste a variety of chocolate as well as view all the action.
