If you're 50 and over, you'd love what's on offer at the Cockburn Seniors Centre. Take a look, we think you'll be pleasantly suprised.

Cockburn Seniors Centre hosts a range of recreational, educational, health and social activities, classes, events, meals, outings and courses. Please see our current timetable (ongoing regular classes and activities) and activities guide (short courses, events and outings).

About the Cockburn Seniors Centre

The Cockburn Seniors Centre provides recreational, educational, health and social activities, classes, events, meals, outings and courses for people aged 50 and over who live within the City of Cockburn. These include:

  • Meals - Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at midday (pre-order before 10am)
  • Café - Tuesday and Thursday 9am –1pm - orders from 8.30am til 12.45pm
  • Services - a centre-based hairdresser and naturopath available by appointment
  • Transport - a van shuttle service is available for members who are transport disadvantaged – bookings required 
  • Computer Room - computers/iPads and free WiFi available for members to use.

Become a member 

Membership to Cockburn Seniors Centre is $50 for one year - 1 July 2022 - 30 June 2023.

Members enjoy access to:

  • Centre activities that range from free to up to a maximum of $10 per class
  • Outings (prices vary)
  • Meals $11.50 for two courses, plus tea/coffee and/or main course only $8.50.

Activities at the Seniors Centre

Cockburn Seniors Centre hosts a range of recreational, educational, health and social activities, classes, events, meals, outings and courses. Outings

Outings Booking Conditions

  • Outings are available for members only
  • Payment must be made at time of booking for all outings
  • Bookings can be made for a maximum of two people (yourself and one other member) (full name is required of the member you are booking on behalf of)
  • Apologies, but cancellations cannot be refunded

Optus Stadium

  • Wednesday 7 June
  • 9.15am - 3.15pm
  • Outing Cost - $53.50
  • High walking involved    

Walk around Optus Stadium on a guided tour which includes entry into the AFL team change rooms, coach’s box and to Australia's incredible premium hospitality rooms. On completion of the tour, we will head over to the City Café for lunch.

Advise lunch choice upon booking.   

Main lunch options:
(1) Classic beef burger, chips and salad
(2) Fish, chips and salad
(3) Chicken kimchi burger, chips and salad
(4) Pumpkin couscous and pecan salad
(5) Beef lasagne, chips and salad


Mystery Op Shopping Adventure

  • Tuesday 13 June
  • 8.30am - 4pm
  • Outing Cost - $32.50
  • Moderate to high walking involved 

Jump on the bus for an adventure. We will be visiting lots of Op shops, not known until we arrive. In between you can buy your own morning tea from one of the coffee shops along the way. After our shopping spree we will head off to the Stirling Arms Hotel for lunch.

Advise lunch choice upon booking.

 (3) Lemon peppered calamari with chips

Elder Abuse Workshop at Success Library

  • Wednesday 14 June
  • 9.15am - 12.30pm
  • Outing Cost - Free
  • Low walking involved 

Elder Abuse Workshop and information session. Come join us for morning tea and learn about the services available to all of us. The shuttle bus leaves the Seniors Centre at 9:15am and will arrive at the Success library at 9:40am.

Crown Casino

Take a trip to the casino to enjoy each other’s company, look around the fabulous foyer displays and soak in the ambience of the Crown. Please gamble responsibly.

Pinjarra Paceway

Pinjarra Harness Racing Club is the largest country harness racing track in Western Australia. Enjoy a day out at the trots and have a flutter on your favorite horse. Good luck everyone. We will be served a delicious lunch in the Paceway Bistro which includes a beer, wine or softdrink. You will also receive a $1 Mystery bet.

Koorliny Musical – Kwinana Arts Centre

Morning Melodies – Frank Sinatra & Dean MartinTribute

Get ready to swing with The Basilios, a dynamic tribute act that celebrates the iconic music of Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin! Brothers Carlos and Paul Basilio bring their smooth vocals and charming personalities to the stage, backed by the talented Valerio Fiorini on guitar and Mike Collinson on saxophone.  So come join the party and experience the music that defined a generation with The Basilios!  After the show we will head to the King Brewery for lunch.

Morning tea provided prior to the show starting at 11am.

Fairbridge Village / Ravenswood Hotel

Stopping at Pinjarra Bakery to buy your own morning tea, then onto Fairbridge Village for a bus tour of the village. This is the size of a small town with over 55 buildings scattered through a large bush area. Here, native trees and flowers are preserved and native wildlife roams freely.  Fairbridge Village is a nationally and internationally recognised site, both for its heritage and its environmental significance. Then a short drive to the Ravenswood Hotel to enjoy a delicious 3 course lunch.

Parliament House 

  • Monday 10 July  
  • 8.30am - 3.30pm
  • Outing Cost - $69
  • Low to moderate walking involved    

On arrival we will be having morning tea along the Hay Street café strip, where you can purchase your own morning tea. We will then take a tour of Parliament house where you will learn about the functions, procedures and rich history of the Parliament of Western Australia.
After the tour you will be seated in the member’s dining room, for a three-course lunch from the a la carte menu with a glass of beer or wine and tea and coffee included.

Quindanning Hotel - Christmas In July

  • 8am - 4.30pm
  • Outing Cost - $57
  • Moderate to high walking involved 

First stop at the Pinjarra bakery where you can buy own your morning tea. Then enjoy a scenic drive to the Quindanning Hotel for a delicious festive three-course Christmas lunch, sitting around a warm fire and tasting mulled wine.

Entrée:     Filled filo pastries
Main:        Roast turkey and glazed ham with seasonal roast and steamed vegetables
Dessert:   Christmas pudding with brandy custard and ice cream

Parliament House

Crown Theatre - All Shook Up

Grab a cake and a coffee for morning tea from one of the Café’s on arrival. The Crown offers a variety of eateries for you to purchase your lunch.
Take a wild ride back to the golden era of Rock ‘n Roll in this classic tale of young love and forbidden romance. It’s 1955, and into a Midwest town pulls a motorcycle riding, guitar playing rebel who shakes things up with his new moves. Jam-packed with all the best Elvis hits, you’ll want to shake, rattle and roll to this hip-swivelling sensation!
