Cockburn Seniors Centre hosts a range of recreational, educational, health and social activities, classes, events, meals, outings and courses. Please see our current timetable (ongoing regular classes and activities) and activities (short courses, events and outings).

About the Cockburn Seniors Centre

The Cockburn Seniors Centre provides recreational, educational, health and social activities, classes, events, meals, outings and courses for people aged 50 and over. These include:

  • Meals - Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at midday (pre-order before 10am)
  • CafĂ© - Tuesday and Thursday 9am –1pm - orders from 8.30am til 12.45pm
  • Services - a centre-based hairdresser and naturopath available by appointment
  • Transport - a van pick-up service is available for members who are transport disadvantaged – bookings required 
  • Computer Room - computers/iPads and free WiFi available for members to use.

Become a member 

Membership to Cockburn Seniors Centre is $50 for one year - 1 July 2022 - 30 June 2023.

Members enjoy access to:

  • Centre activities that range from free to up to a maximum of $10 per class
  • Outings (prices vary)
  • Meals $11.50 for two courses, plus tea/coffee and/or main course only $8.50.

Activities at the Seniors Centre

Cockburn Seniors Centre hosts a range of recreational, educational, health and social activities, classes, events, meals, outings and courses. Outings Booking Conditions

  • Outings are available for members only
  • Payment must be made at time of booking for all outings
  • Bookings can be made for a maximum of two people (yourself and one other member) (full name is required of the member you are booking on behalf of)
  • Apologies, but cancellations cannot be refunded
  • Please advise of any special dietary requirements at time of booking

Keep active and healthy and enjoy a day out at Perth's biggest Have-A-Go-Day. Browse the stalls and have a go at some of the activities. Buy or bring your own lunch. Moderate to high walking involved $8.50
Koorliny Arts Centre and King Road Brewery Friday 11 November
9.15am - 3pm
Head down to the City of Kwinana Koorliny Arts Centre where you will enjoy a morning tea and a show by the Morning Melodies performing the Peggy Lee Tribute Show. We will then take you King Road Brewery where you can buy your own lunch and admire the scenery. Low walking involved $25
Casino Perth Thursday 17 November
Enjoy a day out a the casino! Look around at the fabulous foyer displays and soak up the ambience of the Crown Perth and you can also enjoy a flutter and come home a winner. Please game responsibly. Bring your own lunch or your can purchase on site. Moderate to high walking involved $9
Perth Mint and Grosvenor Hotel Friday 18 November
Discover the history of gold and enjoy a tour of the Perth Mint where you will be guided through the world’s largest gold coin exhibition and be able to watch a live gold pour. You will then enjoy a lunch at the Grosvenor Hotel before making your way back to the Centre. Low to moderate walking involved $50
Kalmunda Night Markets Friday 25 November
Enjoy a night out at the Kalamunda Night Markets where you can browse through the many market stalls with handmade local arts and crafts, jewellery and clothing. Buy your own dinner from one of the many food trucks, local restaurants and pubs all while listening to some local entertainment. Buy or bring your own lunch. Moderate to high walking involved $16.50
Bunbury Dolphins Wednesday 30 November
Enjoy a day down south in Bunbury at the Dolphin Discovery Centre where you will embark on a cruise to visit the local dolphins and then enjoy a 2 course set meal at their restaurant before heading back to the Centre. There is a set menu with a main course of beer battered fish and chips with salad and desert is English fruit pudding served with brandy custard and ice cream. Light to moderate walking involved $81.50

Mandurah Christmas Lights Thursday 1 December
Get in the Christmas spirit and come along and enjoy a boat cruise on the Mandurah estuary looking at all the amazing Christmas lights. You will start off with dinner where you can either bring or buy your own from one of the many restaurants around followed by the boat cruise. High walking involved $63
IKEA Wednesday 14 December
Enjoy a day out and shop till you drop. Buy all the last minute Christmas gifts you need. Buy your lunch or bring your own. Low walking involved $11
