About the Cockburn Seniors Centre

The Cockburn Seniors Centre provides recreational, educational, health and social activities, classes, events, meals, outings and courses for people aged 50 and over. These include:

  • Meals - Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at midday (pre-order before 10am)
  • Café - Tuesday and Thursday 9am –12.45pm
  • Services - a centre-based hairdresser and naturopath available by appointment
  • Transport - a van pick-up service is available for members who are transport disadvantaged – booking required
  • Computer Room - computers/iPads and free WiFi available for members to use.


 The Seniors Centre offers scrumptious meals to members and non-members. Find out what's on offer by visiting the menu page.

Become a member 

Membership to Cockburn Seniors Centre is $49 for one year - 1 July 2021 - 30 June 2022.

Members enjoy access to:

  • Centre activities that are free or up to a maximum of $8 per class
  • Outings (prices vary)
  • Meals $11 for two courses, plus tea/coffee and/or main course only $8.

Outings Booking Conditions

  • Outings are available for current members only
  • Payment must be made at time of booking for all outings
  • Book for a maximum of 2 people
  • Book up to two outings per member, in the first 2 weeks of release
  • Remaining spaces will be open for all members on Wednesday 16 September
  • Cancellations cannot be refunded if fees are charged to us by providers
  • Please advise of any special dietary requirements at time of booking

Enjoy a morning wander through Kings Park and take in the wonderful views and amazing wildflowers on display (morning tea at own expense). Followed by lunch at Catalanos Café in Victoria Park

Enjoy a scrumptious picnic at Garvey Park, Ascot. If you have never been it is well worth a visit at this time of the year. Go for a stroll along the boardwalk and enjoy the view of the Swan River.

Swan Valley Wednesday 13 October 9.15am – 3.30pm
Enjoy a day out in the Swan Valley. We will stop at Whistlers chocolate, where you have the opportunity to buy some morning tea, or just stock up on some goodies. Then we will travel to Mondo Nougat and Moorish nuts, followed by The House of Honey. We will then head to Edgcome Brothers Winery for a wine tasting and lunch. Last stop of the day is Margaret River Chocolate and Coward and Black.

Whiteman Park Thursday 14 October 9.30am – 3.00pm
Spend the day at this spacious park and conservation reserve in Perth’s Swan Valley. Take a wander across to Caversham Wildlife Park, visit the transport museums, the village, ride on the train or explore the many walking trails.

Scarborough Beach & Odin Tavern Tuesday 19 October 9.30am – 2.45pm
Stretching for 2.5kms, the newly redeveloped Scarborough Beach is one of Perth’s most iconic northern beaches, popular among both locals and tourists. Take some time to enjoy the promenade, feel the sand under your feet, or just relax at a café and do some people watching. We will then head to the Odin Tavern for lunch and dessert.
