Thursday 20 November:
The City of Cockburn has welcomed Main Roads WA’s decision to lower the speed limit on Hope Road in Bibra Lake from 70km/h to 60km/h, a long-awaited community win that will improve safety for both people and wildlife.


Almost a quarter of the City of Cockburn’s planned surplus for the financial year has already been wiped out by unexpected costs - which include beach toilet cleaning, replacing damaged signs and hiring consultants.

Wednesday 19 November:
A bunch of like-minded youth went from strangers to firm friends after participating in the inaugural Act Now! Youth Climate Day in Cockburn.


Murdoch University’s Keep Carnaby's Flying - Ngoolarks Forever program has won the 2025 Premier's Science Awards Science Engagement Initiative of the Year.
The City of Cockburn has been an active partner in this program.

Custom designed electric gates are helping people who use mobility aids, like wheelchairs and scooters, to enjoy a nature reserve, and easier access to a neighbourhood shopping area in Yangebup.

A magical symphony under the stars will be coming to Atwell Reserve on Saturday 13 December for Christmas on the Green.
