Coogee Live is free, for all ages and accessible to everybody

6MARCH2026
The countdown is on for Coogee Live, returning to Coogee Beach on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 March for a completely reimagined weekend of music, art, food and coastal celebration.

This year’s all-free festival delivers stadium-worthy DJs, world-class performances and unforgettable beachside experiences, all set against dreamy Indian Ocean views.

Headlining Saturday night is ARIA-winning electronic duo The Presets (DJ set) on the Sunset Jetty Stage, alongside the interactive Mermaid Island, powerful cultural moments including Welcome to Country with Mayakeniny and Maatakitj, family favourites like Erth Dinosaur Zoo, the high-energy Bubble Canteen, culinary demonstrations from Perth’s best chefs, and a full Family Rave experience.

To open the Sunset Jetty stage a festival-exclusive collaboration between acclaimed Noongar artists from Boomerang and Spear, led by award winning Kylie and Clint Bracknell, who will guide a new ensemble of emerging dancers from Fremantle College and Coolbellup Football Club in the powerful Mayakeniny with Maatakitj.

City of Cockburn Mayor Logan Howlett said the festival's seventh year incorporates community feedback to deliver top-tier entertainment in an inclusive, connected space.

“In 2026, we have stepped up to bring a raft of exciting entertainment together in a way that is welcoming, vibrant and accessible,” Mayor Howlett said.

“Importantly, there is no requirement to book activities - just turn up and enjoy. We’re incredibly grateful to our major partner Lotterywest for helping ensure this remains a free event for everyone.”

Lotterywest CEO Colin Smith said Coogee Live 2026 is a celebration of community connection set against one of Western Australia’s most spectacular coastal backdrops.

“Lotterywest is proud to support Coogee Live again in 2026 with an $85,000 grant, helping deliver a free, inclusive festival that brings the community together,” Mr Smith said.

“With fantastic entertainment, family friendly experiences and a strong focus on accessibility, Coogee Live truly offers something for everyone to enjoy.”

A standout feature of Coogee Live 2026 is its commitment to ensuring everyone can experience the festival.

Connected accessible pathways link each zone, with priority seating at key stages including the Big Top, Sunset Stage and Ocean Kitchen. Beach wheelchairs are available for free hire, and accessible parking, drop-off bays and amenities are located throughout the site.

New to Coogee Live in 2026 is the WA All Abilities Sensory Container a thoughtfully designed, portable space offering a safe, calming, and engaging environment for individuals who may become overwhelmed in the busy festival environment.

Across the event program, inclusivity shines through. Selected performances and experiences will feature Auslan interpretation, Audio Description, and Guided Tactile Tours.

Free Sensory Kits will be available for hire at the festival, equipped with noise-cancelling headphones, earplugs, and fidget tools.

Attendees with non-visible disabilities can also request a Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Lanyard, discreetly signaling to trained staff and volunteers that extra support or patience may be appreciated.

No single use plastics will be on site and Go To Cups and Waste Stations will be on hand to handle plates and cutlery that are washed for reuse.

Coogee Live is a free, family-friendly weekend of beachside fun, packed with world-class performances, interactive activities, culinary delights, and unforgettable experiences for all ages. There is no need for tickets, just bring your family, your friends, and your sense of adventure for a festival you won’t want to miss!
