Funding for Lucius Park remedial work

The City of Cockburn's response to PerthNow Cockburn about funding for Lucius Park remedial work

Question: What does immediate remedial works mean for the club? Have these already begun?
Answer:
Immediate remedial works relate to improvements that the Club has raised, including things like shower curtains, lockers, power points and other general amenities which will be accurately planned out during the consultation and planning phase of this particular minor upgrades program.  These works have not commenced, but the planning for them has.

Question: When are these works expected to be completed?
Answer:
As the work is in the planning/consultation phase, there is not yet an estimated time for completion, however we expect the work to be finished this calendar year.

Question: Which clubs are set to benefit from the upgrades?
Answer:
The Spearwood Dalmatinac Sport & Community Club and Cockburn City Soccer Club are set to benefit from these upgrades, as they are the predominant users of these grounds and facilities.

Question: Will clubs be able to operate at Lucius Park while works are being undertaken?
Answer:
The City doesn’t expect that these minor upgrades at Lucius Park will create significant interruptions.  As with all work the City does, it will be performed in consultation with the club to agree on timeframes that provide the least disruption to the club’s operations.
